I just got off the phone telling a friend about a difficult situation Ive tried everything for the last 4 years and don't know what else to do. I was Asking God in my heart and mind what next to do. Then I saw your video in my feed and clicked. I know this is God's answer to my prayer for direction. Thank you for bringing up the fact that we should still kinda listen to our bodies. And the importance of fasting is about our heart posture not necessarily the amount of days we fast! Because I have pursued God so deeply during this esther fast I loved it so much!! I'm a highschool student and can't do much fasting in the week but I try my hardest to remind myself to fast on weekends. Hey Morgan thanks for sharing this video, last week you sent an email announcing the Esther Fast that's coming up, I read it and I didn't felt like I should partake so I made the decision to not sign up but before bed that night, I felt the need to fast the following day from 6-6, water only and to use that day to organize my life because I have had a lot of things that I was procrastinating on. I did the water only fast on the 19th of this month and each night before bed, God placed it on my heart to fast the next day because I was so caught up on completing a certain amount of day so God said I will let you know when to fast. It ended up that I fasted for 3 days, water only from 6-6 and this morning, I realized that I did not get the pull to fast today and while I was in my devotion time this morning at 8:28 am my cellphone rang, it was phone call that I have been waiting on from last week for an opportunity that I have been praying and waiting for. I was so shocked, I did not know that I was fasting for a breakthrough with that opportunity because for day one God placed it on my heart to fast for my mind, on day 2 I was led to fast for my emotions and on day 3, I was led to fast for my soul (the mind, will and emotions). I am sharing this testimony to testify of what God has done through the water only fast and to encourage someone to fast as they are led to (the desire to fast in one way or another is an indicator from God) and if you sense fear, fear that you will mess up on the fast or that you will be too hungry, that's the adversary trying to discourage you from fasting because there's a breakthrough for you, a breakthrough that's in God's timing and fitting for this season of your life and what God knows is best for you. Am wishing you (the one who choses to fast and the one still praying for confirmation to join this fast) all the best and an experience on this fast that will build trust and obedience in the things that God has and will call you to do.

As someone with digestive chronic illness it has been such a wrestle of wanting to draw nearer to God, but knowing that if I were to not eat it would cause my body real harm. Thank you for the permission and confirmation that abstaining from food is not the only way to fast. Aside from fasting social media, I would be curious to hear any other suggestions or tips of fasting apart from food. It's all about seeking the Lord, giving greater space and attention to listen, receive, and respond in obedience. 💛 Blessings to you all who are stirred with hunger- for God is one who satisfies!

Amen I understand. I fasted for months. I got denied two times for financial assistance and we were struggling girl. Finally the third time with great faith we got approved. Don't let the failures or setbacks make it seem like God has forgotten about you sometimes God wants to see if you continue to stay faithful no matter the mood and the bad! . Ask God to give you internal gifts sis and not outer gifts. I promise he will heal your inner wounds first and then work for your favor in the world. Love you and stay strong.
