How To Etch Glass using Ikonart and Etchall

In this video I show you how easy it is to etch glass using Ikonart Stencils and Etchall Etching Créme. I also include how to color your etched design using colored wax.

Etchall Etching Creme is reusable, and one little bottle will last you a long time. After it sits on your stencil for 15 minutes, you can scrape it off and add it back to the container to be reused again later. The Ikonart Stencils are also reusable after washing off the etching cream.

how do you weed the stencil? for letters like “e” and “a” “h” that have middle parts

There is no weeding. Our stencil film has mesh embedded in it and that holds all the details in place. You print your design, expose it with the Ikonart exposure stand, then wash it out to reveal your reusable stencil.

Yes you can use on a wine glass. The etching is permanent, but the wax coating will eventually wear off if you wash it.

How many times will one stencil hold up to using etching cream?

10-12 uses I would say. Make sure to post-expose your stencils to make them more durable!

Is the tinted etch permanent? Meaning, will the tint come off in the dishwasher?

The tinted wax is not permanent

The etching is permanent, the rub n buff colored wax will wash away if you try to put it in the dishwasher
