How to EverQuest Necromancer - Soloing CoV Trash Raid Mobs for RKIII Spells?

This video shows that a 115 necromancer that is done with Claws of Veeshan can kill raid mobs with a big Jober and a quick burn.
All my videos are one take, so there is some rambling. Lots of rambling. Boys, I had an idea and I took a run at it. Another way to show a part of the game a necromancer can do solo. I'd really like to get some RKIII spells. So I loaded up all my box toons that hardly ever see the light of day and told Seiri to take a break.
The good news is that I can drop the CoV Raid trash mobs. But I don't know if they will ever drop a RKIII gem? Do they only drop from the chests after the raid is over?
If any of you raiders have any information to share please drop a comment below or find me in game on the Test Server. I would really appreciate knowing if there is any chance that a drop might happen.

Our guild does after clears for luck augs. Have not seen a spell gem drop yet.

Nice video, I also never seen a spell drop from raid trash. But I do think a necro can solo zland and i will prove one of this days! Twezer necro from AB

Seen lots of luck augs, but never a spell rune.

Trash mobs dont drop RK3 spell runes they are only in the chest if you defeat the raid. Luck augs yes RK3 nope

Ive never seen rk3 drop from trash in previous xpacks.

Don't believe so. The luck augs are worth farming. Having high luck massively improves dps and defense
