I retired last year. I started working on my VA disability claim before I retired. It took three months for my claim to be approved. During that whole time was nerve-racking because I didn’t think I would get the rating which I thought I deserved. It took 90 days to get my approval and my rating is 100%. I also complained to the company handling my files for the VA. One of my complaints was going homeless because someone was taking their time with my claim.

. You “retired” into 100% disability in 3 or 6 months ? You have no idea how Lucky you are ! Try filing and then waiting over 50 Years with still only 10% rated yet 100% for Dx300 as “non-compensable ! .

For financial hardship, per the VA guidelines you just need to submit proof such as past due utility bills or collection notices and they will work it as factual. Make sure to fill out the hardship form too.

i filed my claim may 14th, 2020 approved on june 28th, 2020. It helped that i had ALL of my records, dd form 214, awards, medical records, got statements from buddies, wrote my personal statement, etc.... If you want to get a faster approval, you have to do all the research, the gathering of files, letters, medical records. if you dont care enough to do the work for yourself, dont expect the VA to do it for you.

And I filed with all the documents you listed while on Active Duty on December 8 2020 with a line of duty determination and still under going cancer treatment. Discharged on 31 December and now it's February 1st 2021 and my case has not moved. My last treatment for Lymphoma was on 17 December and it's cut and dry per federal law I'm entitled to 100% VA disability for 180 days after last treatment minus the 14 days I was still on Active Duty. Yet knowing the VA it will be close to the 180 day mark before my case is even reviewed. You were very fortunate because all the evidence in the world in your packet will not guarantee when you're case is reviewed.

My veteran friend is 10% service connected for herni10 and now has kidney disease and gets SSDI because of it. So trying to see if research links or associates the 2 together or is it possible or likely that his service connected hernia is related to his kidney disease.

The Advance On the Docket at the BVA for reasons of financial hardship does work for someone like me that is about to lose his house. I was approved for AOD late March 2020 and my apoeal was granted on July 6, 2020. Still as of today no payment yet from the Regional Office. Do I have to ask the RO also for an Advance On the Docket? Thank you.

I was on advanced party for the Gulf war in 1990. In July during a dry run training field exercise a M16A2 Anti Personnel landmine blew up on 10 of us so we the advance party of our battalion was canceled.

@@UNKNOWN-le2tu know when we got blown up at the time I was stationed in Aschaffenburg Germany the 9th Engineer Battalion. We were training out in wildflecken Germany when this happened back in 1990. It was a pre mature landmine explosion. Did you serve as well and if so what branch?

I filed august 2018 , VA law judge hearing May 2020. Still waiting. Problem with bad advice from my county va representative. She filed a claim for Anxiety when I have memory loss. She said it had to be worded that way. ??? Come to find out she was wrong. I think I got it cleared up when I spoke to the judge. I have 2 nexus letters, one from my current VA neurologist and one from a Navy Captain I went to Vietnam with who is a doctor and an expert in mercury poisoning. Both say MORE LIKELY THAN NOT. Been 2.5 years already. Fingers crossed.

I filed for low income aid on line back in July. I only receive $875 dollars a month SS. I'm 76 and just informed I have prediabetes. I live to the last penny of my SS. I have a VSO but he doesn't answer my inquiries. I want to file a VA form 20-10207 but I'm afraid it will piss them off and more time will be taken.

Request a Congressional inquiry from your Congressman.. he will contact the VA on your behalf. We they see that their boss is asking questions... It gets them into gear. 🇺🇸⭐🏆

Have you done this and how did it work for you? My claim was submitted May 2020. My claim has been moved to evidence gathering review and decision on Dec 2020. No compensation has been received and its July 2021. Please assist.

Keep dreaming. Congressman/woman do not do that. Their minions are the ones who do the request. Do you seriously think a congressman/woman would tell the VA to "get into gear" to follow the rules that congress passed?
