I'm almost always successful in my EXAMS, 1. I'm a rater, 2 I build rapport, 3. I tell them I work fulltime because I do to show them I'm not lazy just looking for a free ride.

Had an ongoing claim since 2012 for prostate cancer due to herbicide exposure…never submitted a pact act claim….claim finally granted in 2023. Retro only went back to 2022 date of pact act. Had all the evidence required to grant claim long before the pact act and kept claim open( continual pursuit of claim) immediately put in supplemental claim asking to honor original intent to file date back in 2011. The difference in back pay is well over 100k….seems like I was played like a fool!

My name is Gary Longshore. I was stationed there and 83 for basic training when I left there I went to Germany after being in Germany for just a couple weeks every joint in my body swelled up three times a size they had to call the emergency squad for me. I spent two weeks in intensive care and the doctors never could figure it out. They didn’t know what was wrong with me ever since then I’ve had pain and every point I’m 63 nowI think they owe me.

Another problem is absence of paper records from private healthcare doctors up to about 1998 before computers and digital era began . One hospital we called said there are no images prior to 1998 not even in storage. And some of those doctors from late 70s and 80s are deceased or retired. So when a vet starts getting care from VHA, up to the late 90s is all anecdotal or new imaging can show prior problems.

I had a specialty exam scheduled that was about an hour and twenty minutes away. Because it was a specialty exam (for corneal scar, cataracts, and allergic conjunctivitis), I went to the exam. Had it been a general exam for something like sleep apnea or back strain, I probably would have tried to reschedule for something closer. This specialty exam was for my first claim ever, so I just want to get this VA claims process over as quickly as possible.

Should a VSO have these forms available? I just got to a level with a 70/40% so I can claim for TDIU. I'll ask the VSO for it.

I served in the Persian Gulf Jan - Oct 1988. Since that deployment have seen over the years the same symptoms as Gulf War 1990. But timeframe not covered under PACT. My ship, USS Coronado (AGF-11), with CJTFME staff onboard, went to General Quarters and donned chemical masks in response to a chemical attack by Iraq against Iran. Conducted a fresh water wash down of the ship. My question is why are we who served and are ill not under the PACT Act? Would this fall under TERA? The environment was same if not more hazardous as Gulf War.

I am Honorably, 100% permanently service connected PTSD going on 9 yrs after my award. My question is if I pass after the 10th yr and I die from other cause of death such as heart, what would the burial cost be paid to my spouse, $2000 or $700? 13:28

So why don’t they send people the code sheet. Ridiculous VSO’s and employees can instantly access, but vets have to go through hell to get it.

The fact that so many people are asking simple, relevant questions here should give everyone a hint at how helpful the VA is.

I am in the same boat as many of the veterans here, only I'm 80% unemployable, paid at 100%! Dental, vision, and everything else, including breast prosthetics and associated special brassieres due to double mastectomy performed through the VA. I have recently qualified for VA provided hearing aids. Where is the answer to our numerous inquiries on this subject? I am a Vietnam era veteran, as well as a military retiree. Thank you.

Sometimes both of my hands are painful and when holding things or even doing writing, my hands are shaking. There's something wrong with my nerves besides sometimes both legs are still painful due to having a problem to my spinal cord insertion of air.

Maybe because I am a outpatient suffered from illness to a cervical cancer stage 3A, I finished all my exams and then I am going back every 3 months for follow up check up and regarding to my CT scan it should have problem to my spinal cord insertion of air mass.

my VA hearing specialist has literally told me to my face that tinnitus does not cause hearing loss and he won’t even hear me out on it… Pun intended WTF 🤦🏼♂️💁🏼♂️‼️ even though though all the results of the little bit of hearing loss, he claims I have is exactly in the range of my tinnitus, but he will not ever admit that…

Now in my case my dad is an army veteran but since I didn't agree with his standards he's not going to give me his benefits for a really dumb reason and to make it worse he's just going to give it to his daughters but his daughters have did poor decisions than me my dad's being selfish to me and I don't deserve it because I really have done anything wrong to him but his daughters have done something wrong to me and I'm just getting blamed for it that's right my dad's a narcissist

I did my Basic training at Ft. McClellan, Al from Sept. 1983 to Feb. 1984 (AIT Correctional Specialist) I have acne keloid on my scalp. I got this while in Basic training(Drill Sgt. wouldn't let me go to sick call because they didn't want me to miss training). I just got 30% but I was unaware of that place being contaminated. It took me 15 years to get 30%. America really LOVES it veterans, right?
