The VA works very hard to make sure the C&P examiner does NOT get all the DBQ's and evidence they need to prove service connection. I've had over 8 C&P exams, and everyone lacked the evidence I sent to the VA.

Have a 30% rating now plus have issues with AO. Too stressful going thru exams. Last year they said I need a buddy letter from unit I served in 1967. Good luck with that. I gave up.

I am currently at the Va in richmond Va, where I go for treatment on everything , but I have come to understand that a lot of the employees have no clue as to what I am going through , because they were never a solder, their only experience of the topic Wes watching movies or reading a book written by a government employee that has no real world experience of the topic , but they speak like they have all of this experience- just like that government publication says they should do-the problem with that is - the blind leading the blindand the official that is in charge has come to the very real conclusion that is WRONG and there is no way for you to get through to them because they are convened that they are right because of this publication that they read, never experienced . How does one overcome those issues to get well ???

My claim just went back to step 3 of 8 after 5 months. It was in step 7 of 8. I sent them my private medical records because they made no effort to find or request them. I've had 5 C&P exams, and I always bring new evidence to them that they did not have or made any effort to get. You need to be proactive and educate them, or they will miss critical information. I feel like I am doing all the work for them.

Bottom line, tell them your a consciousness objector, after the fact. Marines are trained to kill, kill , kill. Bla bla bla, without my gun I am useless, once a Marine always a Marine (with zero support, resupply or direction). I was a forward observer, calling fire missions that end up doing what they do. Then walking through the impact zone and having a look at the meat market you just created. My question is this, if I was diagnosed as 10 percent at first, but years later increased to a hundred, is there a way to get BACK PAY from the first 10% rating? Recently got a copy of my C&P exam for TBI, after a 35 minute exam by a Family Medical Doctor, which covered my heart condition, hypertension, hyperthyroidism my heart bypass scar, incision hernia, Parkinson’s Disease, Chronic Pancreatitis, diabetes and my TBI, (no neurological or psychiatric tests) I have no residual effects on any of those AND my “TBI has been resolved”, imagine my surprise hallelujah I have been cured, my doctors are going to be so excited and surprised, not to mention my priest for a miracle has occurred 😮

Yall be honest reporting substance abuse. They do not automatically assume it's what causes problems.

Regarding the 5, 10, 20 year rules, does the count down start from the date a retroactive payment is calculated or from the date of a decision letter? I have received conflicting answers to this question.

How do veterans get decades worth of back pay? Could a Vietnam Veteran file for agent orange in 1972, be denied continually until today when the Pact Act is law? How does that work? Agent Orange wasn't even recognized in 1972 by the VA.

I am service connected for tinnitus also about five of the other things that you mentioned I’m been diagnosed with most since October 2000.

My PTSD C&P doctor asked me how much money I made at my job. The stressor he was working with could not be proven (classified). I had another stressor (Assault). I asked him if he could read it. He refused. He wasted 45 minutes trying to authenticate the stressor. I could tell these exams were his sole source of income. I don't expect anything good to come from it.

The military accepts this as men being men. I say 10 years in Leavenworth is normal.

Rating code sheet, NEVER saw it with a decision!! Retired in 2002, many VA compensation submittals and decisions . I only learned about code sheet on KZbin and had to submit a FOIA request for my own records!!!! Took about 6 months to get. Very unsat and do not ever trust the VA...never! Very Against Vets, it should be VAV. They are taking 50% rating away for using a CPAP, something you can die without if the power goes out. They do not give you a power backup!! Examples that VA is not Vet friendly!
