Hi Imaginative Design! Thank you so much for watching! Yes, using music has always been something that went back and forth with. It feels like it's missing if there's nothing in the background so I've been experimenting with trying to find the sweet spot of just audible but not overpowering. My latest videos seem to have balanced this much better, but the older ones still show my learning experiences along the way. I very much appreciate you checking out this video!

Nice video man, very useful. I have a Fuji XT4 and the raw files are often quite noisy. This with GIMP and GMIC has produced high quality noise free images.

Hi Nate! Sorry fot not responding to your videos but now when you're back to rawtherapee I'm in. I'm familiar with most of the tools in the noise reduction section on rawtherapee. However I had an issue i couldn't solve. I expanded my camera, canon 6D mk2, to 100,000 and shot outside my home. I tried everything in my power and knowledge to get rid of the noise combining rawtherapee and gimp layer work but in vein. I can't express my frustrations. I'm on Linux and I hardly ever use windows. I considered buying topaz AI but then I've found a way to it more or less. There's a new AI upscaling software for Linux. It's called upscayl. I downscaled the photo's size to about 1500X1000 and upscaled it with this software. The noise is gone. I'll try other sizes in the future. Upscayl is only beginning its development. I believe that future versions will bring AI noise reduction and other tool.

Hi Arnon! Great to hear from you! Thank you for sharing - definitely going to take a look at Upscayl - Been wrestling with noise for a while now and I see that Upscayl has a batch tool included, which could be a HUGE help! Working on high ISO for night shots always seems to give me trouble, even with prolonged exposure. I'll test this out and share any new findings - Thank you, Arnon!

Hi, The high and low frequencies are not colours ! high frequencies are the small details in the picture. Its difficult to explain.

Hi Odaly'sPOV! The noise control works more on a "micro" level with RawTherepee (zooming in quite a bit shows the change). For more holistic noise control, I've found that the wavelet tool works better and made a video about here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXrRgmmVpcikqtU - Hope that helps!

HI, can you explain to me one thing? When I zoom out after adjusting it comes back to the original state and nothing changes, but when I zoom in again it's changed. What have I did wrong?

Hi Bartosz! I've noticed this too - to my knowledge, noise filtering works on a very fine level that won't necessarily clean up larger scale noise. What does help on that level is using wavelets - I made an updated video exploring it here - hope it helps! kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXrRgmmVpcikqtU

450 ISO ... that's a free one. Try with heavy noise and maybe show how to use the wavelet noise reduction tool. I have not succeeded in removing noise above 4000 ISO in RT, yet - but I am motivated for learning it. I like many of the features in RT, but noise reduction is not one of the strongest, imho.

Hi Daniel! This is interesting - I reviewed the video description and tags just in case something was misapplied. Presently, the term "defringe" doesn't appear in the details, so I think KZbin is making a data relationship between "defringe" and "denoise", as they are somewhat related in principle, but stem from different issues.
