well, a few points. Since we're getting purely hypothetical, it's worth noting that this strategy can technically take infinitely long to work out. Simply because the arbitrage is not bound to work on a single account every time. Let's say we're working with two account A and B. The first arbitrage works in the favor of account A, but the second arbitrage can obviously work in the favor of account B. This zigzag pattern can continue forever, which basically means that this whole strategy (although works on paper), can take very long to actually get to the payout phase. Actually, since we're trading with equal SL and TP, the chances of a zigzag equity curve for both accounts A and B is is larger than any account reaching profit target of evaluation stage. So I wouldn't say it's a loophole because I think it's quite unlikely that anyone has the mental capacity to follow this route.
@rares01283 ай бұрын
it's a 50/50 shot every trade you take. sure, it may take a few tries but it won't be an endless zig zag lol.. first trade has a 50% chance to win on account A, after that it has a lower chances for account A to win again, but it will happen. You don't need 100 trades and it's definitely doable on paper. The issues may be with the data provider that the firms use. One could trigger your trade at a certain price, while the other gets you in slightly lower or higher. Same with profit/SL. You'd have to actually test it and see what are the execution issues you run into, but on paper this is brilliant Update: it doesn't work. when you lose 4% on a trade, you only gain 3.9% on the winner due to commissions and spread. You would end up losing an account while the other one sits at about 9.6% profit instead of 10%. It's a great concept in a world where commissions and spreads don't exist, but in the real world it ain't this simple. Good try though
@greymindedguy3 ай бұрын
To anyone thinking that "we can use arbitrage to pass the profit target in one single trade in one of the two accounts. It doesn't have to be multiple trades." Well, it kinda has to be multiple trades to reach the profit target. All these prop firms have rules against gambling behavior, and passing the evaluation stage in one single trade falls into gambling category
@greymindedguy3 ай бұрын
@@rares0128 Theoretically speaking, it CAN take forever for any of the accounts to reach the profit target. The actual time it takes for anyone who's going down this route obviously varies depending on trade frequency and risk per trade. If anyone wants to find out exactly if it's any better than pure 50/50 gambling on a single account, more in depth calculation is needed to verify it.
@angus39633 ай бұрын
@@rares0128 Not entirely true on the doesn't work, if you only let the winner go to 10 pips sure, but if you know who's winning on such a short spread then let it run a few extra pips longer to cover trade fees, this is where the person executing would need some clue on position management.
@praisefx76423 ай бұрын
It won't work 20 pips can be stopped out easily even if you arbitrage
@mihaibodrug89493 ай бұрын
1) 20/80 split so 6450-20%+450(refund)=5610 2) fees, there won't always be 2 trades before you win the first acc, let's say you win on first acc then on the next trade you lose on this acc so now both of them are break even but you lost money due to fees, mathematically this can really only go for 5-6 times at fifth time the chance is only 3.125% and 6 th is 1.6% 3) i don't even know if this works, i'm sure they have some sort of rules in place to prevent arbitrage even if you use 2 different iP addresses or 2 different identities i'm not sure if you'll be allowed to do this

@valicojo52913 ай бұрын
There are few details missing here, commission and spreads is a killer, most prop firms have big spreads and commissions. If you zig zag your winning trades ( win on A acc then win on B acc) the spreads and commissions will eat you up. On the other hand if you chose a company with 10% Dd and 8% target you have 2% extra as buffer for those commissions and spreads.
@IPDATrader3 ай бұрын
It is a fair point, but not relevant enough to not make it viable. Achieving 2x winning trades on a single account by pure chance is not hard. So the "zig zag" you mention is almost irrelevant. You can always try with smaller and cheaper account challenges. If it works for you, then scale up. The risk involved is very little that way. But obviously, there is risk as with anything in life.

You should take trades in london open 1AM EST time to avoid getting stuck in a range and having to pay swaps for leaving trades open until next day, and preferably a prop which has zero spreads and zero or very low commissions, if commissions are not zero a way to minimize commisions is by enlarging your SL/TP pip count (10 or more pips each)

@IPDATrader no disrespect and this is not personal but this is bad advice, anyone trading this way won't even get past the challenge phase. You atleast need to know how much in pips the instrument your trading moves in a day (avarage). You can easily be stopped out on both positions even if you arbitrage the trades with a 20 pip stoploss, you might be successful with a bigger stoploss or risk smaller with no stoploss. But with a 20 pip stoploss you'll just waste your money.
@muaythai-champ-r3r3 ай бұрын
Even with spreads this will obviously still make a profit mathematically however I am afraid prop firms will deny you a payout because they see you risking 4% per trade. Have you personally tried it and gotten paid out?
@peterjack66293 ай бұрын
you don't need to risk 4% in a single trade, he didn't specify you have to pass with one trade. it can be done multiple times till one you pass one account , can go up to 2 weeks. risking 1% everyday till you pass one works too
