can i use the vdb inside a blueprint actor? like make it as "spawn system at location"??

Thank you so much for the tutorial. Very helpful! Do you know if it’s possible to get this into UEFN? And if so, do you know how? Been trying to figure out how to get embergen into UEFN and haven’t been able to figure it out. Thanks in advance!

I have not used UEFN so I am not sure. There might be other videos on the topic, but I have not seen anything.

Amazing man. Quick quesiton, the colour of my explosion in embergen is white but when I import the VDB it's black? Any assistance? Also can you change the Alpha at all, ithe opacity is low

I would set a keyframe to set it off when the explosion frames are completed

@@spennyvfx thanks. Can you please check above again I adjusted the comment as I figured that out. The smoke is black when it should be white and there is no emissive/flashes and there should be

Really awesome! Just one quick question: Does it physically react to nearby objects? My smoke goes right through any object. Thanks in advance!

No it does not, you would have to manually set up a collision in the simulation

There is no SparseVolumeMaterial in mine UE5.2

Yes, that is because VDB are only supported in 5.3. You will need to upgrade to 5.3 to use VDB

I believe it's only in 5.3

Yo great tutor! How can i change color, like blue? trying change albedo color or blackbody Tint - it becomes greenish thank you

You need to change the Blackbody Scale & Blackbody Temperature Scale to get the Blue effect.

but,how to export a looping vdb file? export Flipbook is OK. it's looping. but the vdb ....

There is a setting in Embergen that you can turn on that will allow a looping simulation

​@@spennyvfxSetting: simulation - looping Mode - loop Simulation and without particles 。 setting is ok 。 but when i playing , the vdb is not looping in ue5
