Thank you for these masterpieces and of course I subscribed to your channel. I was looking for a long time ago about how to export a pattern from CLO to any program with the extension of dxf, png or pdf in order to print the pattern. This is the second video I watch for you during the same day. Thank you again for the excellent explanation and your sweet, calm voice. I have a question please why did you make the image sizes so small when I saved my snapshot. To answer your 1st question: the patterns is in an "actual size" and if you wonder why the picture is small because I'm record it with my laptop. And thanks for the question about the topics, we will do our best to upload more videos about this topics. Great thanks for the questions. Love it.

thank you Rose for the video. really helpful. I was wondering if you can replace CLO software with professional Garment CAD softwares like GERBER or OPTITEX or LECTRA etc. I want to use this CLO software as industrial purpose, producing massive garments. I mean can you make professional patterns (with grading, seam allowance, darts etc.,) and then you send the file to a plotter and cut thousand of garments? Thanks advanced.

Of course, thank you so much Sherzod for the questions, I would love to answer your questions, but I'm not qualified. However, I would like to share why I end up using clo3d software over the above software you mention. 1) clo3d is a reasonable price and it seems simpler to use compared to other software, 2) clo3d has the functions which allow me to produce the garments that meet my need as a designer, lastly 3) yes, clo3d has grading, seam allowance, dart and more... Overall clo3d is a software which designs for a fashion designer. I can produce very accurate true to size garments as well as has these perfect functions for drafting/draping patterns. Hello, I'm wondering if you can help. I have a 24" HP plotter that I want to use to print out my marker. When you're on the 2D window and you have to put the "height" of the paper what do you put? Because when I select the "wide format 24" " preset it automatically has it on 3" & then when it goes to print it doesn't split my marker in 2 part since my fabric is wider than my printer width. Idk if you can help me with this but any advise I'll appreciate. Thank you

Hi Lando, thanks for the questions, however, I am not familiar with a plotter. But, based on your questions, I ran a few tests and I came up with some suggetions wich base of my experiences: 1) you can export the file from clo as Plotter (PLT), but you need some software such as Autodeck, autocad etc. to open the file, 2) you can either export the pattern as (PDF/AI)/2D pattern snapshot. Then, bring the patterns into Adobe Illusrator and place them on the the format of your choice (I will explain in the future video). Important tips: if you are using 2D priting snapshot via clo use the "the default fabric width, under roll" don't use the custom " example, custom > 24" in clo becuase it seems to be an erro with that function (I will make a video eplain more in detail). Hi Conor, that is a very good question. I prefer to add seam allowances later. However, you can add seam allowances in clo before you export the pattern (then the seam allowances will include). Thanks, let me know if you have more questions. Love it!

Hi Rose, thanks for this video!. I have a question, I guess this functionality is ideal to use to keep the full size pattern stored digitally or printing directly on a industrial plotter correct? however when it comes to print in smaller format such as a4 or a3, we still require the pdf formatted with the markings in order to assemble the pieces when printed (process you have explained in other videos). Or is it that now CLO3D provides that feature? Please let me know, thanks!

Hi Katherine, that is a good question. Based on the article in clo manual states that you can print out directly from clo in a format such a4, a3, etc. However, I have not experimented with it yet, and see this article link for more detail support.clo3d.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360036313594-Print-pattern-full-size-youtube-videos- I am using adobe illustrator template because it is convenient and more professional way to produce e-patterns, if people want to make a little number of e-pattens it is ok to print directly from clo.
