enlightening video - thank you very much. quick tip - if there's a lot of data, the only way you can see that Calc is working on getting the tables after hitting enter, is looking at the text cursor at the end of the URL - it stops blinking.

Have a doubt..! If the values in the particular column changes in the website. Will the values in the sheet change? How to refresh the page for every five minutes to get website tabalur column real time data..

Most web pages do not have named ranges. How do I get libre office to just take the whole page? This is easy in Excel, but seems impossible in libre.

Did it work?? For me it just hangs for a minute and never retrieved any data...This feature is just for show in Libreoffice.

Saw the answer elsewhere - it is under Sheet now - it isn't working for me though, trying to load a credit card statement and no luck. Can't pull it in from pdf file, can't pull in from web page, can't cut and paste (well I can, but it just creates a lump of data in one cell). Seems like Excel did this better - ugh.

Without trying to confuse u I will try to explain. At work a few guys have tipping competion. This is where we all select winners of Football each week and the one who selects the most winners get a prize at end of season. I made a program on Open Office that all I need to do is put in everyones' selection each week and it works out who has selected what winners and there is a running total, all this works fine.....how they give me there selections each week is via email and I have to manually type each persons' selection into the spreadsheet. I just wondered if there was anyway possible for them to either submit their selections straight to the spreadsheet or whether I can get the Spreadsheet to get their selections from the email I receive....I understand if you are completely confused, if so sorry and I can try another way to explain [e-mail] is another way to reach me, thanks, Simon

Wonderful info! However "URL" isn't a word it's an abbreviation for Universal Remote Link...it's not "Earl". LOL!! Not sure whether you said it that way to be humorous or whether you weren't aware. I'm trying to find how to collect info in to Libre Office Calc from a web page that's not in a table.
