Hi Luke. My name is Ricardo and I am a dental technician in Mexico and I graduated in 1981. I like this profession a lot but unfortunately I stopped being active for more than 20 years. Now I have been updating because I want to restart activities and your videos have been very useful and motivating. I will be following your videos. Greetings.

Mine never broke. I've worn it for 19 years with never a problem. I first got mine, I wanted it cause the acrylic ones kept breaking. As a dental lab tech myself, I've never had to repair anything bout a popped out tooth. And I glued it back and it's never come out since. Valplast are the best invention and investment. I recently got a new one at the practice I work at now. I'll never wear an acrylic partial again. And when I need a denture, it'll be a Valplast!! 👌🏾

If you are impressed by this video, then you should attend course's how to make flexible dentures. Must survey and blockout undesirable undercuts on models. Use putty over waxup, retention on teeth 360 groves on each individual teeth and yes holes in teeth. Grooves hold teeth better and stops staining. The processing and finishing of single tooth flexible under 2.5 hours.

Yeah I’m sorry but there is no such thing as an unbreakable denture. That’s false advertisement or misconception. Everything breaks down eventually. This is the false belief that dentist tell thier patients when they try to sell them flexible dentures. Flexible dentures still breaks, tho it has more give than regular acrylic resin its a bit tougher but they will still break. First of the tooth is made of acrylic and it doesnt bond with the nylon. If you dont take care of how you bite eventually that acrylic tooth itself will break and come off from the flexible resin material because they don’t fuse or bond together but only held by mechanical retention. This is the most honest truth you will hear regarding a flexible denture.

i've been wearing a 1 tooth partial for 45 years since a childhood accident broke don't big tooth out. 1st I was told don't wear it while eating. So I lost 2 very rapidly by accidentally leaving on the plate and being trashed at picnic where I could never find them. So started eating and sleeping with them in. Broke a couple on an apple so I learned to bite off to the other side with permanent teeth. After that no more mishaps and still have to change them about every 5 years because it slowly becomes brittle and tooth cracks off or pink splits. Every 5 years for 40 years is not bad. but, geez, the price for a new one has gone crazy. I don't have $800 for replacement. Learning how to make my own watching these videos.

I am starting a small lab in my home for friends and family who need flippers. One family member is asking for a full upper denture. I only have polymer and monomer. I believe it can be done and look correct but how strong will it be? I know the proper technique but I don't have all the tools for that process. Would it be crazy to make a full upper denture with polymer and monomer?

Hey Luke. Could the process give good enough results given that i keep the technique explained here and substitute the injection with what i have access to, which is Vertex Rapid Simplified heat cured acrylic? How 'durable' would a tiny piece like that be with the material i have? Also.. prevention is key and i would need to mak3e sure to have 2 identical replacements 8in case of breakage. Carving/fitting teeth will be different on the 'spare' pieces of course but how would i go about replicating much of the base work/model from the initial prints? Thank you!!

There are better techniques and faster way or the right way but the sad thing is everyone does it differently and uses different methods. Yes, there is separator solution. Fusing liquid???? Why. And no retention on the acrylic teeth. Maybe the flexible material is chemically bonding, ?????. To the experience technician, there are many questions to the whole processing and finishing. But this video is for the general public.

@@myunghong9004 ok I guess but fussing liquid is to fuse TCS to TCS but if it works as a separator for you , more power to you it’s an expensive separator but to each his own . Thanks for responding After watching it again on 9:52 it looks like regular separator but states fusing liquid I wasn’t criticizing just got confused.

I had a single flexible partial made for #14. I couldn't make a full length impression because my # 3 tooth is bad. I was told that was ok and it could still be made but it doesnt fit properly. When I bite down my right side upper and lower molars dont make contact. They are telling me to make another wax bite and they can make it fit properly. Is this true? What purpose does the wax bite serve? It doesnt even capture all the teeth. Seems to me without a full length impression on top there is no way to get this to fit right. Can you help me understand this please?
