I just followed this procedure on my night owl system and it worked, I just re-formatted the hard drive once I rebooted and it is back to normal. I did loose all previous recordings but I’m back up and recording with playback.

The only problem I see with this if you unplug it and remove the battery the system will never know it's been removed if it's not turned on again without the battery. If anyone out there in the community has tried this please let me know if it worked for you thank you

Dude fitted 5mp cameras and they are 100 percent better at night 40mtr ir but day not as good as the sony 2.4 I took out messing about with utc video format turned black and white I got colour bk but I lost wide angle and I can't get menu bk on screen to put it bk ro 2.25 video format only the up and down and green and red ticks

Hey TS it won't work unless you remove the battery then power supply the unit and turn on. Turn the unit off wait 2 minutes put the battery back in and reboot. Please let me know if that works for you

Sir pagkatanggal mo s battery try mong pagshortin ung dalawang terminal ng battery holder ng at least 2 min. S mga lumang dvr ganyan yata. Tapos default password nila 123456.
