This robe paired with the toilet roll is A TOTAL VIBE

I like how you used what you had on hand to try this look. If you ever decide to take the leap to hot rollers, then all you have to do is roll them from ends to roots and let them cool completely. You can do this after air drying or blow drying and it eliminates the need to put any product in the hair. I’ve been using them on and off since the 90’s and they are so reliable for a bouncy shiny look.

No product sounds like a dream to me 😅 I wanna look good but I’m too broke and stubborn to buy mousses and serums

Gen Xer here-I lived my teens in the 80s, and my 20s in the 90s. I had thin, fine, oily hair that I had to wash every morning before school and work. I didn’t have tons of time to do different things to get volume: we used mousse, gravity, heat, and hair spray. 1. Put mousse in the hair anywhere you want volume. 2. Turn your head upside down. 3. Concentrate the heat from the hair dryer where you put in the mousse until the hair is dry. 4. Do NOT use a brush on those areas. A brush removes the hold the mousse is giving you and will make your hair fall flat. Use a pick on those strands. 5. Spray the hair roots asap. Even my hair dresser in the 90s had me turn my head upside down when she dried my hair.

Oooooh thanks, imma try this. I also have fine and oily hair. I use a hair crimper at the roots to give it some volume and some hair spray. If it's flat after some time (next day) I just use dry shampoo and it's back. But I want more volume. 😂

Girl you just saved my life. Literally going this as we speak. I have bought the Velcro rollers, the fancy (not Dyson but still esspensiv) hot tools and I couldn’t get the blowout look. This took me two seconds and I feel like Kate Middleton…. Thank you Allana you are a saint

Love this video. Thank you so much for making it. Everyone tells you to start at the root leave the ends alone and the ends look terrible. I loved how you polished your ends mainly. And that's what people see

Yes, thank you! I suck at blow drying and can’t be bothered to buy rollers, this was a great hack and the results are beautiful 💜
Went to HS in the 90’s and yes. We curled under like you are doing and we used hot rollers. Like before the new hot rollers that are healthy today for hair. I still have my Conair rollers that get incredibly hot. I use them occasionally. And some of us got a perm with that one large piece rolled backwards for lots of volume.

If you haven’t, try the ColorWow xtra large volumizer foam, it’s like mousse on steroids and will make your roots so voluminous and airy!
@savannahowen70662 жыл бұрын
When spraying the texture spray, spray against the hair by holding the can sideways with the motion of going up the hair from the ends to the roots! It will give it a “teased” effect! You could also not have to use rollers either! Just get Bobby pins or alligator clips and pin the curl just like you would a roller until it cools and it gives a similar effect!!
@hthrfthr31362 жыл бұрын
Oh, the 90s! But how do you keep/sleep this hair (or fresh hair in general). One sleep and I look like I’ve been under a rock since the 90s!

Abbey Yung on youtube explains that hair doesn't need hydratation it's just marketing! It only needs to be conditioned to be protected from more damage! hair is a dead thing unlike skin. So it's not the same thing at all! 😊
