Re: getting dressed inspiration! I've been watching Alyssa Beltempo's style videos, and she often talks about proportion, selecting appropriate shoes/bags for outfits, putting together often-worn items differently, day-to-day looks, & mixing styles effectively! AND she's Canadian 🇨🇦 Enjoying your Every Day May videos & looking forward to more! 🌸

I've just started prioritizing getting 10,000 steps every day and it was for sure a struggle at first! I've found that it really takes one dedicated long walk to knock out a majority of the steps, and by that point, I'm so close to the goal that I just make it work. But it sounds like that walking pad might be too casual/low level for you! I'd say return it for one that can effectively go faster
@lennyboyko Жыл бұрын
allana i am shooketh at the fact that you dont't think you know how to dress day to day. i think you have a really great natural eye for dressing yourself actually! you follow trends but not overly so, in the sense that you still always look very much like yourself. and when you shop you often choose really interesting pieces and really classic pieces as well. don't doubt yourself, gorlie.

Important for the walking pad: yes it is slow but remember it isn't a workout. It's best used for exactly what you said, getting more movement and all the benefits both health and focus. But you're not burning a bunch of calories on it. I love mine. I've had it for over a year and use it most when I need to focus

I honestly think you do a great job of expressing your day to day style. As for shoes, I love stylist Alison Borstein’s advice about shoes: When choosing a shoe to pair with an outfit, go for “the wrong shoe.” I think she means opposites attract, in the sense that if you’re wearing a menswear look, pick a femme shoe and vice versa.
@kimgreen7458 Жыл бұрын
Since you’re struggling with your outfits, you should do a video working with a personal stylist! One who will help go through your closet and do up some outfit ideas for you to have in your arsenal. I love your fashion content so I think this would be a great video!

Love a cute little update video - really interested to see what you end up finding out about dressing for your body type! Also every time I watch you curl your hair I get triggered because I am completely incapable lol. Good luck on the new sony! I think those cameras should have color profile options in the settings so you're not recording in the flat color, my super old sony has like 8 different color profiles built in.

Your hair colour is beautiful and I’ve always loved the way you style your hair! A tip if I may, that I have learned from the Blowout Professor here on KZbin… people with hair like ours need to avoid heavy products such as oils. He also talks about how the Moroccanoil hair line is for people with thick/coarse hair (one of his videos specifically mentions their hairspray). These products are very heavy for our particular hair type. This could be why your style is not lasting as long as you’d like. I’ve learned lots from him and my hair has been actually holding now when I do choose to style it. Hope this helps! Xo

I LOVE my walking pad. I have an office job and finally caved and purchased one so I can walk and work at the same time. My sweet spot is 1.0-1.2 depending on my balance/coordination that day since I do a lot of graphic design work. I walk for about 4 hours each day and average about 3-4 miles per day. The only downside: My apple watch doesn't register my steps, ugh! I've had to give myself a little grace when I look at my fitness app each night and see that I didn't hit my step count on the app, reminding myself that I did in fact walk 3-4 miles! I tried the whole "put your watch on your ankle" hack and it didn't work for me. But, regardless, I love the pad even though my co-workers giggle at me every time they walk past my office :)

I think it would be so cool to wake up and get so happy as you did to see sunny skies. I think maybe it would add joy into your day and make the day more appreciative. I live in South OC California (Newport, Laguna area) and sadly I really take our sunny skies for granted. We have mostly sunny skies year round so I never wake up with the thought crossing my mind 😊Yay! The Sun is out! Now thinking about it I actually get happy when we have a rainy day! I will get excited because I can put on a fire, cook some cozy food, cuddle up with a nice blanket and watch movies! Don’t get to do that very often. We had a record breaking winter this year for rain. It’s so funny because it was such a big deal for us to have the rain we did that they actually extended our 2022 tax return deadline 6mos because we “had so much rain we Californian’s needed more time” Lol so funny. The amount of rain we had was absolutely nothing compared to other parts of the world.
@RonjaSebastian Жыл бұрын
Lol, what does the rain have to do with tax returns?? Anyway, love it.
@lifewithcancer916 Жыл бұрын
@@RonjaSebastian Because due to extreme weather that we are not use to there was flooding and lots of damage in place throughout California so our governor got the state and extension to help people get back on their feet before having to worry about taxes. I think Alabama and a couple other state got it as well. Any state that had extreme weather this past winter and suffered damage.

I recommend Maintenance Phase Podcast's episode called "10,000 Step Myth." And just a suggestion to help with your decision overwhelm: I know you tend to buy multiples of clothing in different colors. If you try just getting one of each item of clothing, you'll have less to choose from. Hannah Louise Poston talks about how buying multiples of the same item rarely works out because you'll often default to the one you like most.
