I can’t begin explain how much I have neglected my body and how I care for it. I allowed myself to goes days without showering, hardly brush my hair, and wash my face only when I remember to. This is honestly embarrassing to admit and, of course, no one really asked. However, I’m slowly easing myself into showering everyday (or every other day depending on schedule) and taking the time to take care of my skin, hair, and nails. I have noticed a vast improvement in my mental state after just a couple of weeks. I feel more confident and taken care of. SO, I wanted to try and recreate the “Cher Look” from the movie Clueless and found my way here. I cannot WAIT to try this out and build some skills in styling my hair. For anyone wondering if you can do this heatless, you can! I have hair that’s a bit thinner and shorter than Freddy’s, but if you wait until it’s basically dry and start rolling and pinning then, you’ll wind up with essentially the same result... or at least I did. Just leave it to set for as long as possible and use a bit of styling cream on your dry hair to help with the setting! I’ve been wondering about this for years and only recently tried it out. :)

I have the same problem. Instead of going for her polished look everyday, I usually loosely braid my hair when it’s still slightly wet and once it’s dried, you’ll get soft waves...it doesn’t look as nice as hers but you’ll still end up with natural and pretty “waves”

Olaplex in salon treatment can be added to any colour or used on its own. Avoid heat styling, or towel drying your hair by rubbing the cuticle. Don't brush hair when wet, use good combs not cheap plastic. Be careful of what you use to tie your hair up- use those hair ties that are like ribbons with a knot at one end. You can even make them yourself- plenty of tutorials on KZbin. Use Hola coco intensive coconut conditioner a couple times a week on ends of hair. Have good healthy diet, lots of good protein and vitamins- fruit and veg, essential oils etc, stay hydrated. Treat your hair like a cashmere jumper, you wouldn't wash that vigorously and stretch it and pull it about, so don't do it to your hair. If you live in hard water area then get a water softener. Have regular trims.
