I just hope the sequel doesn't break up another happy home. "You're sexually attracted to Jam. That's why dad left". - I still have nightmares about her walking out with that belt. 🤦‍♂

Nice! One tip if you are having trouble getting a smooth pan with the tripod (more common with cheaper models that don't have fluid joints) - pull on the handle using a rubber band instead of placing your hand directly on it - this smooths out any unevenness that you might accidentally introduce by hand.

First off I wanted to say that your videos never fail to amaze me, they're such a unique flavor in this vast space of KZbin. And secondly, what microphone do you use?
@paul_et
@paul_et Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I use literally one of the cheapest XLR mics you can buy, the Audio-Technica ATR2100XUSB. Been using it for three years now and it still rocks. You really don't need a $500+ mic if you don't have the money. Just something that's solid and isn't your internal camera mic. And just work on your mic etiquette. Highly recommend Audio-Technica, too :)

@@paul_et I second all of that. I've been using an AT2020 for close to a decade now together with an equally dirt cheap Behringer Xenyx Q802USB mixer and they've served me extremely well.

I’ve been doing this couple times for my projects, that’s amazing technique. If you want to sell gravity effect even more you can try to play with small rotation animation which makes the movement even more realistic. Of course you have to keep in mind perspective change, but it usually works! Keep up the good work with these videos Paul! ❤

works well for a small object. why not just stretch the clip in the timeline, you can pull 10 seconds to 40 seconds with interpolation and still have smooth motion, (at 30fps) particularly if you downscale. If you morph the frames you'll get 120 seconds from the 10, so you get max 1:12 expansion before it starts falling apart. Shoot at 60fps and you'll double the ratio, i.e. 10 seconds becomes 4 minutes tops. I've done a few 1:20, which is enough to practically stop the motion and turn the audio into something else completely.

Nice one, but why you're not using Optical flow instead of Frame sampling?
@paul_et
@paul_et Жыл бұрын
Optical Flow attempts to create frames that aren't actually there by referencing the frame before and after. Frame Sampling just uses the frames from the clip. Really, it shouldn't make too much of a difference in this effect as the clip is in 30fps and the sequence is 24fps but I just didn't want premiere potentially messing with the shots without me knowing.
