I was an ocean lifeguard for years in the 80's and 90's.... We'd see one a summer in the early 80's.... in 15 years they were plentiful. But..... seeing them in slow motion is a much different perspective. Thanks.

Wonderful film & photography. Here in Scotland the Ospreys are building up numbers again with help from different trusts. They fly all the way from Africa to Scotland every Spring, it's always exciting to welcome them back.❤ This year 2024 our weather has affected the Ospreys fishing, with hail & gale force winds. 2 chicks being translocated to Spain. Them & Eagles are my favourite Raptors.😻🏴

I'm in a development near Venice Fl and we have Osprey, but not too many. I don't have the 600 f/4 but 200-600mm paired with the A1. I'm struggling to get crisp shots. so when I see your accomplishments it only inspires me to keep trying and gaining more experience in capturing the action of these beautiful hunters. Well done and thank you for posting!!!

Love your Osprey work Mark. I am following all the nest here in the UK. Ospreys were wiped out 120 years ago and are slowly (down to reintroduction projects) making a return. Reasonable numbers in Scotland and the start of a revival in England and Wales. For example this year. We have seen the first chicks born on the South coast for 180 years. It’s a slow process but hopefully these magnificent birds can be restored in all the relevant areas in the UK.
