I gotta tell you man, I learned my fry scream after about 5 months of random trial and error. Now after a month of practicing my fry scream I finally decided to try my false chord, and after watching this video I got it in about 10 mins. Truly fantastic thank you so much!

The first one I've tried that didn't hurt my throat. The visuals really help.
@adidas26842 ай бұрын
How do you keep it from hurting? If I keep it kind of quiet, like at a whisper, it doesn't hurt, but as soon as I try to compress to gain volume or sustain then it hurts real quick. I can only make it work with a lot of air at a whisper without hurting.

It's been about 2 years now since I picked up my scream. I don't know the method used. I started with the "Corey Taylor" scream that kind of hurt my throat a little after 10 minutes. After toying with the muscles, I found the distortion and went with it. Now I can scream for hours (exaggerating) without worry aside from my throat getting a little flemmy and I find myself clearing it a lot. My sound is very gritty whether I am doing highs or lows which came to me naturally. Originally I wanted to know what vocal type I was using, but then I started wondering why it mattered as long as I like how it sounds and feels. It's just hard to do these vocal lessons when I'm not sure I'm even initiating the tone correctly. I find it hard to be subtle with my sounds. I tend to need that harder push to not only project, but to even make the sound. I would say my focals sound VERY similar to Will Ramos. I did use him and Dickie Allen as inspiration. Prior to 2021 I was doing inhales for 6 years. I did pretty well for something that sounded terrible. I was just good at annunciation.

This made me do the epiglottis scream instead! (I struggle to get teh false chord and instead did the epiglottis scream for a while until i realised why my throat hurt. I somehow discovered false chord screams from fry screaming and moving around distortion in my throat. I hope its not wrong one)
