If it's early on in game wait for rain, if you have a base set out a barrel and leave it open whenever it rains. Once rain is over remember to close it and bring it back inside, players can steal it or pour gas inside

Yes it should, the rain works at watering the soil. You should see a little wooden post pop up if it worked.

I think the growing time is maybe server based? Can you check that out? We planted some peppers and potatoes yesterday and it took easily 40 mins irl for them to grow and be harvested.

It should be a special action to water it. I believe rain will also do it automatically

I want to say a long time... 8 hours? Could be mistaken on that. I've found farms with veggies long after the farmers came and went.

If you dry your vegtables i am fairly certain they will never rot.

Yes I do believe you will need to re-plant seeds, BUT you can save 1 vegetable and Combine a knife with it, to gather more seeds from a veggie.

Ah yes, they added disease to plants. If I can remember, if you spray the plants periodically it keeps pests off, and you get more veggies per plant.

Hello! Yes farming has received a few tweaks since this update. Keeping your plants disinfected is a good idea to do!

I did some googling because apparently this is a recent bug. I've been seeing this question asked a lot lately. Some people are saying it's... an oversight on the temperature coding, with the introduction of Sakhal, some changes were made. If it's too cold, even on on other maps like Chernarus, it won't let you grow crops. (This was just my initial findings, not sure exactly what's going on.)

Do you just “pour” your water bottle or canteen? There is no action to determine it. Please help? Really don’t understand why this issue isn’t addressed in any video. In official. You don’t want to waste any water. Period.

After planting the seeds, you should be able to hold your watering bottle and loot at the plot to get a water option. Emptying the canteen on the ground won't work. If it was raining its possible you wont get a prompt because it's already watered.
