For anyone curious, with JP up and JP up and up, it takes 31 orbs to bring a job from level 1-12

You can make this even better by learning Night Shift and entering the dungeon at night. This increases your luck at night which not only increases your steal chance but your rare steal chance as well.

This stacks with Growth Eggs, btw! With both JP Up abiltiies and two Growth Eggs equipped, you will get 555 JP per orb!

I prefer repeatedly killing the snake on the desert island (accessible from the underwaterway dungeon in town). Just body slam (freelancer skill) it X4 with every character (with sub-job BP saver skill from pictomancer) and it'll die in no time. It gives over 300 JP before JP up skills. You'll get 12 levels well under 10 mins.

i was doing this for a while but then switched to the beach farm near the first town. with the berserker first ability and the painters ability on no bp cost you can have 9 or so battles finished in about 15secs or so with about 1200 exp. it does take a bit to get them all together, but i think it's much quicker especially when you have to think you are moving between two areas for the snake. but yeah check it out

Hey, I’ve actually optimised this even further, but you need to be in chapter 4 and have the Phantom class at lv12. Phantom class at level 12 gets a specialisation that uses 40 MP to make your %based skills like Mug or instance proc 100% of the time. My build is Phantom lv12 with the skills Indiscriminate Rage, Mug, Magpie, Rob Them Blind and either Solar/Lunar powered for the luck boost. The accessories are both Thief Gloves and the other equipment doesn’t really matter but you want your damage as low as possible so I choose to go unarmed. Once you initiate the battle you will want to go Ether-Attack-Attack-flee. Nine times out of ten you will get all the rare and common items from all 5 enemies and escape with the Ether equalising the amount of MP spent. Essentially you’re trading 1 Ether for 4 Medium JP orbs. Seems like a good trade off to me, and takes a quarter of the time of a regular run while being several times more effective.

I guess this is the only way to hit the amounts they claim in the video. Steal rates are absolute trash in this game even with double thief's gloves on each character I sometimes don't get the JP orbs even after the whole party has tried.

@Nikaulos Collins i've added more optimisation on top of your own that requires no ethers at all and three attacks for stealing and the fourth one for the flee command just add a spiritmaster character with spearhead passive from beastmaster with a spear equipped and have them do devotion 2 times to restore mana before every steal attempt very sustainable and it wont cost you any ether purchases where you can use the money for something else

go back to the Beach where Seth washed up equip all characters Indiscriminate rage/ Jp / up and up on all characters. scare all the monsters from the bottom of the beach to the top . Wait till night enter battle kill them all and boom 900/ 1000 Job points for very little work.

To maximize the amount of med jp orbs you get, use the thief's special after you've stolen the small exp orbs. You'll get 2 of the last orbs the bird enemy is holding CORRECTION you'll either get 2 more small exp or med jp orbs! You can even steal from the wiki-wikis, when it says they've nothing to steal using the thief's special

Which is not hard at all. Just kill the leannan sith or any other rare Monster. She gives 210 jp, and you can just enter the dungeon besides her to let her respawn. Takes about 30-60 seconds.

The Nightmare Horse gives you 400-415 JP (The rare desert boss) make sure you have Star Pendants though.

Leveling jobs is stupid easy, even without anything like this video. Just chain farming mobs with monster bait it only takes about 30 minutes at most to max a job.

Exactly my point, by that time this method would be too unless you wanna max out every job for all characters. I'm not gonna waste so much farming time to get all 4 characters to thieve lvl 10 then beast master lvl 9 to do this. Big waste of time you can use to get ahead on the story

The way I maxed out my jobs was just to farm Lennean Sith. Its the flower monster in northern Halcyonia. I put Thief on second job and gave everyone MP buff stuff. Just run in and out and kill her with a few God Speed Strikes. You also get some chunks of exp and money. You can respawn her jut by running to the woods up north.. I Just did that while watching a show.

you can also hit it with monk as sub-job, using the sub-job bp saver from pictomancer as one of the set abilities. then just proceed to spam pressure point with all characters. no mp spent.

The advantage of this is YOU CAN LEVEL UP JOBS THAT IS ABHORRENT TO LEVEL UP (yeah, freaking gambler) at moments notice provided you have enough jp orbs.

I'm so happy thieves gloves exist, I really hope they work on that bp stealing ability(I'm still in chapter 2 lol) because the thief is strong but the fact that I can't build BP by defaulting has changed my gameplay with the thief and I've actually given my thief revenge with the hunter ability to increase crit chance when I have one BP or higher that way it feels like I go into overdrive mode once I'm able to get one BP and I can do multi attacks if I get hit too much and get multiple BP but I always try to keep my BP at one or higher for the crit chance and blind immunity. I usually don't like thieves in game because they tend to be weak or too focused on stealing but they gave the thieves a really powerful attack in bravely default, And it has single-handedly helped me kill Galahad because of that fight I could not figure out what the hell they were immune to most of my magic and my thief's attacks so I had to actually focus Galahad down first (the boss) for the first time

I don't know if you thought about this but you can just use the shieldmaster with vanguard subclass to just donate BP to your thief. Shieldmaster second specialty + revenge passive makes it a BP generator than you can just use the Vanguard BP share ability to give it to your thief.

Look up Naz-tahlgic? something video on farming the fairy-lady near the top dungeon in Halcyonia. She has 13k health, and is weak to thunder. You can burn through her pretty quickly, and she gives 1250 gil, 210 base JP, and like 1200exp? I can't remember. But yeah, once you get Thundara she just melts. Also, make sure to equip yourself with high magic potency. (200 is a one shot with 4 Brave).

Just kill the Orc King, run into the near dungeon, reset him and kill again i've done all 24 jobs on all 4 pg at lvl 15 and lvl 99 in like 6hours.

So a waste of time? The snake overworld boss seems to be the fastest and most consistent method for farming JP and only gets easier the higher your level especially if you spam consistently powerful abilities like Body Slam that costs no resources. At or near LV 50 a round of Body Slams with Sub Job BP Saver from all characters kills this thing. That's less than a minute. With the JP Up abilities that's around 500 a minute PLUS experience PLUS a weapon that remains unmatched in main story unless you fight other overworld bosses. You can also sell off your excess for pretty decent change. You can leave and come back and this also takes less than a minute. So in the time it takes you to farm those JP Orbs in 8 min for one character. I've gotten to LV 8 for ALL of my characters. : /
