You can put Tombs in there too so they fight each other if you're being in your base for a while. Just go in, kill stragglers and loot.

Yeah me and mutant grease don't get along haha. I actually think it's the worst drop in the game personally, and it kind of doesn't make sense that it drops so scarcely. You can get 4+ oils in a single container and it drops all over the place, and yet getting 40 mutant grease is like "WOW AWESOME" for 2 pieces of pristine leather... Something about that just doesn't feel great to farm.

From my own experience, you should only use the vermin nest for mutant grease if it's an urgent matter and you don't have the time to go to South Gloomrot. (for example, raid time is about to start in a few minutes and you need just a bit more to craft something important) The cheapest, most efficient way to get mutant grease is by simply running around in the Pools of Rebirth (the place where Angram the Putrifier is) and wait for the mutants to spawn, they are also gonna start fighting all the humans so all you have to do is patiently wait or aid the humans in killing the mutants. Just as an extra note, there's a high chance a Flesh Golem will spawn and that will give tons of grease especially if you have a duo around to boost the loot (yes, mobs have a chance of dropping more loot if 2+ players are in combat with them)😁 Nonetheless, a good video for the newer players that prefer to get it in the comfort of their base, but it shouldn't be the - main - way to get it.

We play on 2x and those verment nests were a game changer. We get so much mutant greace and prestine hide from it, that we never farmed it again out in the wild. On 2x it nets a profit on grave dust and mutant greace so the real cost is glass and iron. I dont know if it nets enough bones on 1x to pay for itself

@@terribletimmy2you said it isn’t fun and they don’t drop at a high rate. When I’m going anywhere in gloomrot and see a tree with mushrooms on it I chop it down. Supplements the grease I get from exploring and hunting and I haven’t had to farm it specifically.

Mutant Grease felt super easy...prepatch. When not many players where around gloomrot due to low player activity. When I'd just run past the Transcendum camps and pick up a ton as I went. Pre-patch I also noted that the small camps could build up a decent amount of mats or have a stronger mutant with better drops. Post-patch, the big v boss locations tend to get swept through often.

I looked into this but imo glass is kinda a rare resource and i dont wana have to farm glass to spawn mutant rats... my way around this was to get a dunly worker for the castle to just constantly mine glass for me so i can use it for the grease and other stuff

Yeah I ran into the glass issue as well honestly. A few other ways to "solve" it is more brighthaven farming (get a ton of glass there) and a weird one is the stygian summoning circle for tier 1 shards and minerals. It's kind of a gamble, but I got 200+ quartz 2 times in a row for 600 shards. In total was 30 glass for a couple minutes and my extra low level stygian shards.

I've been loving the videos for patch 1.0 you've been uploading! I had a question about something you mentioned in one of them. I believe you said the whip was good/very good for bossing. I was wondering if you meant in general, a certain version of the whip (ancestral/legendary), or with a certain build? I'm one of those players you talked about who tries to brute force/face tank boss attempts (now trying to use my brain and learn patterns after your boss video) lol

So with the whip, I find it solid for bossing due to the primary hitting hard and having crazy range. You'll be relying a lot on movement, and look for openings after you dodge w.e they use. Q is helpful for knockback on some bosses with a channel ability (it can interrupt them), and E is just a nice chunk of damage, though a lot of time I like to swap to a diff weapon and use a different E. There's a bunch of spell options here. Power surge is a good thing to try out since it will imbue your hits with ignite, allowing you do be dealing damage even when you're not attacking, as well as give move speed to avoid things easier. Discharge is also really good for giving you breathing room, and then applying static to the boss to boost your primary attack damage further. Overall, it can depend on the boss, but the whip sits in a really good range to deal damage and dodge at the same time

The bottleneck becomes glass of you do eat method. I have 5 servants on glass to compensate and live near quartz quarry

Yeah the glass is pretty bad as well. I actually tried the stygian summoning circle for t1 minerals and you can sometimes get decent returns, but other times it's meh. If you're farming t1 incursions and have leftover shards, it may be worth it to put them into that, but yeah otherwise it's pretty bad

@@terribletimmy2 stygian circle is nerfed into the ground, only treant is good for seeds, and matka/golem for defense (matka is undead btw, so she doesn't hit banshees)

@@loopuleasa Yea and the incursions also become super boring pretty quickly. It doesn't even rotate through that many previous bosses and for some reason one of them is just the Old guy who runs away in the Cursed Forest lol.

You are turning 1 iron , 3 glass and 3 mutant grease into 72 mutant grease and 72 bones. the iron and glass are much quicker farms than mutant grease tbh
