How to Fasten a Blazer Button

This is the method I use on a daily basis to secure blazer buttons or Shank buttons on to customers clothing. This is the fastest and strongest way I've come across.

Coming to this video and have two major questions 1. When doing the double tack, is he putting the needle in the same hole twice or is he making new holes each time? 2. For the finish where is the needled going through and what are you trying to accomplish? It looks like hes just running a thread underneath the button
