I am so happy that Dewayne turned me on to your channel. The more I watch the more I want to sell everything and move out to Wyoming and raise cattle. Thanks for sharing and hope all is well. God Bless!

Love drone footage. Love how you explain the bails of hay. I watch several farms and they use the plastic netting. The sisal you use is great. Thanks for a great video.

Very nice looking hay! Two things that give folks a secure feeling heading in to winter are an ample pile of seasoned firewood and enough good hay to get the stock through until the grass starts growing.

Great video as usual. I bet that hay still smells good. Looks great. I’m glad I’m “subsribed” to your channel 😁 I’ve never missed spelled anything 🙄😳😁

Great video! LOL! I love how you spelled "subsribe!", was that deliberate to see if we would notice?

At what age are your heifers when first exposed to a bull and do you keep them closer to home?
@WYORancher3076 ай бұрын
we breed heifers their second summer so they are 1.5 years old, bred to have their first calf in the spring as 2 year olds. We breed them to ultra calving ease bulls, calve in April when the weather is nice, and they calve with the cows and generally do really well with minimal assistance from us.

How much is land going for by you?
@WYORancher3076 ай бұрын
way way way more than its worth to a cattleman!

I've seen some ranchers that bring their livestock in closer to the house, in order to assist some cows that are PG to help them in delivery and sometimes place caves in a warmer bed and get them some milk if the mom's aren't feeding them. Do you do this?
@WYORancher3076 ай бұрын
We do everything we can to stack the odds in the cows favor while calving (breeding them to calving ease bulls, calving later in the spring to avoid bad weather, calving in a place with lots of good cover, etc...), then we let them do their jobs and are ready to assist if needed, but rarely have to intervene with these cows, they are great mothers and do a fantastic job calving each year!
