Hitting is very hard! You can take a baseball player & ask him to throw a football or shoot a basketball, no problem, but if you ask a football player or a basketball player to hit a baseball coming in hot or an off speed pitch, major problem!

@ravenjason13 The Dodgers have done a pretty good job of not giving him much to hit. His heat map shows that low outside is his weakness, despite everyone claiming that his TM trained swing is only designed for that part of the zone. I haven't seen all of his at bats this series, but the ones I have seen look like they're trying to get him to chase everything low and just off the plate and then the sprinkle in fastballs up and in to get him back off like the one that hit his hands.

That's what happens when you swing like this you get k'd up alot. Soto doesn't swing like this clown teaches neither does freeman. Judge never shows up in the playoffs besides 2017.

I can show you video of vladdy flat out saying he doesnt swing for launch angle😂
They all do this now cuz the bats don’t weigh anything back in the old days they swung 40oz bats so it was a big load until an incredible swing or take when they basically just dropped the bat

In my opinion MLB hitters just don't do one basic thing on hitting. It appears that they all pull their head or hit with the corners of their eyes. I don't see too many still frames where the hitters have 2 eyes on the ball. See bat hit ball.

This is just simply not true across the board. Guys like Freddie freeman and Rafael Devers hardly even START moving their hands until the ball is released - and they rake

The only thing about what Techerman teaches that is correct is the loading of the rear leg, coiling the hips, balancing, and launching the swing from the rear leg. The rest of the stuff he talks about is questionable at best. Seams to me he hunts for clips of guys who all have similar hitting mechanics to his method and only uses those hitters as reference in his videos. As others have said, not all great hitters have identical swing mechanics. It all comes down to doing what works for you. Showing a small sample of hitters does not prove that his technique is gospel. That's like having a debate but only inviting people that agree with your opinion. As I said, part of what this guy teaches is certainly useful. The issue is he sells the entire package as being mechanics that make ALL great hitters great. This is simply not true.

Lmao cover that down and away slider though. Judge should block you until the World Series concludes
@joeyyoddler16563 күн бұрын
If you watch the actual film, judge is flying his hip open before his hands go which is stopping him from getting to that pitch. Half of what TM teaches is a lack of hip shoulder separation because that’s what it leads to. Judge needs to get another lesson and figure out how to stop opening his hips early if he wants to get back on track

@rufioswitch2132 if you pay attention to any of the other many videos he's made about this, you'd know that his "ready at release" means be in a position to be able to hit at release. He never said to necessarily be at the apex of stretch at release. He talks about getting into a hitting position by release and then pulling back against the forward move from there. Find the video of Aaron Judge saying, "I could hit from here if I had to."

@@mbrum3230 A batter has about 200 milliseconds to make the decision to swing or not on a 95 mph fastball. You act like consideration for 50% of that time is no big deal.
