Thank you, Matt, so much of this I recall as a police rookie with then the issued "Billy Stick" or Day Stick, NYPD circa 1970. People often, do not appreciate the psychological factor of a simple wooden stick. They work very well!

Ours was called a Yawara Bo. It was 12 inches long and instead of being a perfectly circular cylinder, it was elliptical. Elliptical enabled us to amplify force during nerve-locks. It was a great tool for throwing an adversary. Good video.
