I'm so glad videos like this exist... I put my filling key in the wrong way and it got stuck I almost broke me and the key pulling it out after the earlier stages of refilling, as shown in the vid you simply ,line up the arrow on the key with the unpadlocked symbol ,push the key up the hole and turn it anticlockwise so that it lines up with the padlock symbol turn the screw next it to refill.. also helps to lubricate the key with a dab of silicone etc.. Merry Christmas everyone.🎅🎅

Hi Steve, thank you for the video, I didn't realise how low the temperature of the hot water had dropped until I refilled the boiler tank. Very straight forward and took less than 2 minutes. For other users I think once you line the key up, it may need gentle pressure to push the key 'home' depending how tight the rubber seals on the key are in the slot. Very good video. Thank you again.

Hi Vince, sorry I don't understand your question. I think your device has auto corrected? To insert and remove the key, it can only be inserted and removed when the bleed valve is in the 'Locked' position.

I too am SO grateful for this video. The instruction booklet left with my boiler just wittered on about the padlocks and failed completely to mention the crucial part - water pressure now back to where it should be. Not nearly so impressed by Bosch as I am by you or the Vaillant boiler that was in my former house.

Surprised it would effect your hot water, as that's not on a closed system and doesn't require pressure in the CH system to function.

Thanks for this video, the other ones on youtube don't show this close up. The real difficulty seems to be that it's not just a question of pushing the key in, but pushing it in firmly or the lock doesn't quite "take" and inevitably there's a gush of water. There should be a clearly white marked padlock - actually better to say fill and no-fill, and make it a screw that's turned into place on the front fascia. Finally, just mould the plastic base to fit the key.

Thanks for the video. I almost gave up when I couldn't figure why the key on my Worcester Bosch 25si wasn't closing off the water when I tried to fill it. As instructed the arrow on my key was aligned with the lock marking but water was flooding out when I opened the white tap. Oddly on my boiler it transpires that the key has to be facing me irrespective of where the arrow mark is aligned.? So obviously something different . So if you get the same problem as me follow Aquaheat's instructions but then try what I did.

I just had the same issue with water gushing out. Ensure the arrow on the key is lined up with the open padlock (I needed a torch to see the padlock on the black ring). Push key up quite forcibly until it slides into place and then turn a quarter or so clockwise till it locks into place then you should be set.

I turned the white nob beside the key and no water went into the tank, turned it quite a good bit round but was worried I'd pull it out if I turned it to much, but no water seemed to flow so aborted the mission, any ideas why that would be? Also my boiler says pressure low its at 0.9 but the warm water and heat still works so just wondering if that's the reason for the water not going into the boiler? Any help would be appreciated.

To drain the boiler just the boiler not the whole central heating system, will u just lock the boiler and just open the drain offs?
@johnsharman7262 Жыл бұрын
Easy looking, but why don't you specify to turn of the electric switch on the wall 1st( you just said "turn heating off")? Also when I've followed this procedure just now, putting the key to the padlocked position and turning the white nut anticlockwise, I don't hear the sound of the boiler filling nor get any change on the arrow in the red on the clock for pressure increase/decrease. So, back at square one!

@bighit24817 жыл бұрын
mercurythelegend you haven't pushed the key in far enough, that's also to drain the system so if the key hasn't been pushed in correctly it'll start to drain instead of fill up.
