Do i leave personal amount blank? If i have had more than one employer
@DebiPeverillPFTG2 жыл бұрын
Yes, leave the personal amount blank on the form for the second employer, and tick the box on the second page of the form that indicates you have more than one employer.

Hi Debi. I live in Ontario and work in Quebec. The Quebec government deduct additional taxes from me. Where in this form should I check off if I want to stop the Quebec taxes from my pay. I was told this is the form...but now I am thinking this isn't the right form for me. Thanks

Hi.. sorry I’m trying to fill Td 1 for my second job.. can you help me out how to fill it up 1-13 ? I’m entering 0 on all of them and is not allowing me to continue..
@DebiPeverillPFTG2 жыл бұрын
Can you get to the second page and tick the box for the second job? That might allow you to put in zeroes.

Hi, I will finish my current job early Jan, and need to start other job one week later. And I’m filling this form for the new job website. But I put no for the ‘more than one employer” because I think I’m not working two job at the same time… is there any way that I can fix it?
@DebiPeverillPFTG2 жыл бұрын
. The first job was only for a few days in January so unless you made $15,000 at that first job you are fine. If you did make $15,000 with your first job, then you need to fill in new Td(1) form and tick the box for the second employer.

Thank you so much for your reply! I just had a call with Cra agent, and she told me I should say no because I didn’t work at the same time. But they didn’t ask me the income of my first job.. it should be okay, right??

Hello Debi! If I was working and living in Alberta, I stopped working there in April. I recently moved to Ontario for a new job starting September, same year. Do I need to fill out the TD1 for Ontario or just the Federal TD1 for my new employer? And do I need to check the box on the second page regarding 2 employers? Thank you so much for your help, you are awesome!
@DebiPeverillPFTG2 жыл бұрын
You should give your new employer a federal TD1 and the Ontario TD1 and on each you should tick the box that you had another employer. You will pay Ontario provincial tax on all of your 2022 income, because provincial tax is based on where you are living at December 31 of the year. Ontario rates are higher than Alberta rates, so you might still owe some tax on fling your personal tax return.

How should I fill in the form if I have two employer at the same time, but I am on LOA from one employer?
@DebiPeverillPFTG2 жыл бұрын
If both employers are paying you at the same time, you should tick the box on the form when you give it to the second employer.

If I have more that one employer in 2022 but havnt had to fill out a personal tax credit return since 2018 for one of my jobs, should I tick that box off for more than one employer?

If you have multiple employers and put $0 on line 1, is it $0 for all lines as well? So line 13 will be $0?
@DebiPeverillPFTG2 жыл бұрын
That is the case for the form you will in for the second employer.

You are a resident. Any rules concerning non residents do not apply to you.

Hey Debbie, I had an employer from January to April. I just got a new job, however. Do I tick the box about more than one employer or payer at the same time?
@DebiPeverillPFTG2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you should, to avoid having both employers consider your personal exemption.

Line 1 on my Ontario TD1 is blank (No number) I reside in Ontario, but work for a US company that pays me in CAD. THe form does not allow me to enter a number for line 1. Will I end up owing more, or should I be saving to pay more taxes to Ontario?
@DebiPeverillPFTG2 жыл бұрын
If the personal amount is left blank, your employer should take more tax from your paycheque than they would have if you entered a number.

Hi Debi, box 7- what can i enter if i am supporting my parents who are on visitor visa? The word infirm dependant confused me.
@DebiPeverillPFTG2 жыл бұрын
If your parents are in good health, they are not infirm. It is possible there will be a deduction available when you file your actual personal tax return, if your parents have no income. I would not add the amount for infirm dependents on the TD1, but I would revisit the possible deduction when your tax return is being prepared and consult with your tax preparer at that time.

Hello, what's the employee number on the form?
@DebiPeverillPFTG2 жыл бұрын
If your employer gave you a number, you can write it in. Otherwise leave it blank. You may be assigned a number by the payroll department where you work.

What do you put it you're not on salary and your hours fluctuate? Is it better to aim high so if you overpay you get a return instead of oweing? Also I have never actually had to fill on of these out in my entire working life, and I'm 31 years old. I work in the restraunt industry and I guess my employers have been filling these out for me...? Makes sense why I owe so much tax every year and don't make very good money
