How to fill in any font in inkscape

I love the videos. I’m not engraving I’m just looking for a way to turn the fonts I like into good drawing fonts when I do cards with the Joy? Any suggestions??

Just follow along with the steps and on the design space part where it says I change it to engrave, change it to draw instead. I did a lot of tests using cardstock before I engraved and they came out beautifully. This will work for cardstock too. Happy crafting!

Which version of Inkscape is that you are using

when i turn the writing white there are no black outlines

Same thing happened to me. I needed to make sure the stroke was set to black when I choose the paint bucket. Hold down shift and click on the color black. You will see your stroke.
