How to get special characters on fonts

Awesome video. Easy to follow. I have several fonts that claim to have all of these extra characters, but when I tried to use them in the character map, those characters didn't exist. I do love that I was able to do it with the "hello honey" font. I've been trying to figure this out for a while, so thank you! I will say that it I have Silhouette Studio and when I used the control + v to paste, it pasted perfectly. I did not have the question marks like you showed. I am absolutely happy>>>>THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

I'd have to go spacing -1 and it mushes all the other letters too much. when I pasted mine, the letters were already connected, unlike yours. You may need to log out and log back into design space. If that doesn't work, then follow the steps in this video. The video is geared towards inkscape, but the process to fix it is the same as cricut design space. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5zWgmyMdqurmLM

It should be the same method as what I used with the hello honey font. The font shouldn't matter as long as it is a font that has extra characters to it.

Hello Ma'am, I am from India. I want to know that can we convert Non-unicode font to Unicode font ? Means i have a Hindi (Indian vernacular lang) font in which if i type my name with Non-unicode and Unicode font, both times i get different alphabetic position. I can type easily with Unicode font, but with same script if i write with Non-unicode it shows difference. If by some mean we can replace Non-unicode character order in same manner as they are in Unicode font by modifying whole font, it will be easy for us to write in one style. Because right now i have to convert non unicode font to their corresponding style in unicode to use different font style. In nut shell i want to know can we replace character in Non-unicode font according to Unicode font by font modification software ? If yes then please tell me process for that. Thanks in advanced.

I do not get the option to select 'Private use characters' under the Group filter. Is this only for paid version of the font?

You don't have to pay to get the special characters. You pay to be able to sell items that use the font. I would try again and make sure that you are using the correct drop down menu to get the private characters.

It could be a couple of different things. One could be that system fonts are specific to specific computers. So you can't jump from one computer to another and the font be there. You have to download the font on each computer. The other thing you can do is log out and log back in to cricut design space and see if that works. The last thing it could be I show in this video, but it describes it describes the fonts not showing up in inkscape.
