Hi Jan, I was wondering for the phone numbers personal (question 21) or for the work (question 19) do you include the regional code, for example i am Canadian filling for a student visa, here our code is +1 [phone number]. Should I include it?

Great video! Does anyone know what to answer for question 23 if you do not yet have an apartment arranged? I have a friend who lives in Prague, so could I use her address since we will visit her when we are there? Or is it better to use the address of a hotel that I will stay in when I first arrive?

Hey Jan! Thank you so much for this video, it is really helpful and clears all the doubts. I however have one question. I am applying for a student visa, in the application form in Sec No. 38 (Applicant's home address). Do we need to write the address mentioned in our passport or the permanent home address? In my case my Passport address is different from my permanent home address.

Hello Jan! I hope you’re going to see this ( and answer it hopefully 😅) cause my appointment is this upcoming November 20th. I applied for a long term visa with the purpose of others since I am admitted on the American Curriculum of the university. In number 34, I am confused on what option to choose since my parents would be funding everything. Do I choose self funded and just write Affidavit of Support ( cestné prohlásení o podpore ) on the block below it? Thanks a lot!

So if I live in Mexico in number 21 I should write my home address? On the embassy the told me this: 21 refers to your address if you live outside of mexico. However if it is indeed the address in mexico then it is basically the same as in point 38

Hi - i have a question for question number 27. You said that if we used the 90 day visa-free entry to Schengen areas we do not need to include the information of the countries that we visited, is this correct? Or should I still include the countries that I visited under the 90 day visa free entry, even though I wasn't given an official visa. Also for question number 26, if I applied for a visa in a Schengen state but did not get it approved and in my passport do I still include this visa on the form? thank you this is very helpful.

Hey! We never list Schengen travels and it has never been a problem :) As for the visas section, I would only include the ones that were approved and issued to your passport.

Well :) The thing is that there might be a bit of a difference between what the law says and what the authorities do in real life. The law says that everything must be in Czech. It is also written on the form itself (see the last page). So I would for sure recommend sticking to it to avoid any potential problems. If what you write in English is clear and/or the decision maker speaks English, you will be fine. If something you write is not clear and/or the decision maker does not speak English, it might be a problem.

21 is your address abroad (outside of the Czech Republic), 23 is the address in the Czech Republic.

Hi Jan, is it allowed to use correction tape on the form? My student visa application was submitted on 7 November 2023 and today is 13 January 2024. I have not received anything yet. Is it because of the use of correction tape?

It is reviewed by people IN the Czech Republic so it is very likely no one really started working on your application until December, then there was Christmas, no surprise there 😂

If you are applying for a long-term visa, it can not be given for more than 1 year and whatever you write there does not change that fact :)

Depends on what you want to apply for 🤷 You will not be getting a visa, nor residence permit for three years anyway. Students do one year at a time.

It is asking for your CURRENT occupation/school. Are you already studying the Czech one?

@@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert Hi jan , its a 16 days of applying my application for study long term visa and do my interview at the embassy and i am at the student mode also and in my day we were four persons and i was the first one when i try to see my application status on moi website it tells me "not found" and when i try to see number 2 , 3 and 4 it gives me "in progress" and i have tried to see the another application of other person who applied after me by one week it tells me "in progress" too . So I'm worried about my application where is it why they tell me not found and other persons which applied with me at the same day or after 1 week says in progress. Can you explain that for me and for when should i wait ?
