@@synaptik111I don’t think it needs to seal but you’ve gotta pull the collar part of the nozzle up towards the handle far enough. I used to ride motorcycles and one in particular had a metal plate which prevented the nozzle from being inserted all the way in. I always had to push that part of the collar (not sure of the technical term but the outer part that would make contact with the tank) so the pump would dispense. Properly working pumps still have the vacuum air check when the gas level reaches the nozzle and will automatically shut off.

you didn't really explain why you should take them out of the trunk and place them on the ground. *IN THE TRUNK THEY ARE ISOLATED FROM GROUND, SO THEY CAN BUILD UP STATIC ELECTRICITY AND IGNITE. PLACING THE CANS DIRECTLY ON THE GROUND CREATES A PATH TO GROUND WHICH ELIMINATES STATIC ELECTRICITY AND POTENTIAL IGNITION FROM THE PUMP NOZZLE. THE LIQUID MOVING THROUGH THE METAL NOZZLE CREATES STATIC ELECTRICITY. ALWAYS PLACE PLASTIC FUEL CONTAINERS DIRECTLY ON THE GROUND, NOT THE ISLAND OR IN YOUR TRUNK, IN THE BED OF YOUR TRUCK OR ON YOUR HOOD BUT ON THE GROUND.*

Don't put the nosel all the way into the can; just enough to where you arent going to spill out. Also don't use max flow rate, ease into it. 5 months late but better that than never.

If you don't have the inside cap, you can stretch a piece of a plastic bag over the opening before you screw on the spout.

I was filling a safety gas can yesterday and it kept splashing out and clicking off. I had more gas on the ground than in my can. I never had trouble with the older cans. These safety vans are more dangerous for me. Any advice here would help.

except for further from the car, that seems to be what I do out of lots of trial and error. inside the vehicle is awful. it's nice not to be dizzy while driving. I like to tighten the spout backwards, so it aims up until I'm ready to use it. in case of bumps in travel or clutzing around during storage. I look forward to your video on being skinny and putting larger, full gas tanks, up on the back of tall trucks, with ease

​@jakeeb2441 Perhaps it's due to disbelief that this video actually exists. My thought before clicking on the video was that it was just a big joke. And wow, was I wrong. Nothing against the OP of the video, i'm just shocked at the fact that there are people who actually need this video. No disrespect to those folks, I just pity the parental figures in their lives growing up that should have taught them one of the most basic life skills for day to day living. Especially if you have to do things on your own. This skill, in my opinion, is almost on the same lines as a guy knowing how to change a tire for his girlfriend. Though I have seen the opposite (GF changing the tire for her BF simply because he didn't know how to).
