Have you had any luck with those kiwi's? I've been trying for years with no luck getting any fruit.

LOl, nope. Those kiwis have been a total bust. For a while I thought I must have gotten 2 female plants by accident. You need both genders for pollination. Then last year after 5 years of growing they finally produced fruit and the heat dome killed that off. This year it rained too much while they were blooming. Fingers crossed for next year.

@@petrhermanadventures9509 right on man I planted a bunch of kiwis at my parents house in langley around 5 years ago. They have had flowers on both male and female at the same time yet no fruit have set on the females. They had a neighbor down the road who had kiwis on his vines I know it is possible.

Petr Hi I catched a Chinook salmon in Wisconsin ,and also has this kind of colour of meat instead of red/orange how usually a Salmon should have , Why that can you please explain ??
@petrhermanadventures95093 жыл бұрын
Some strains of Chinook lack the ability to metabolise red pigments from their prey. Here in BC, we call them White Springs, in Washington State they call them Ivory Kings. In some populations, they are almost all white meat, others all red. In my local river there are also many in between colours, even marbled red and white.

why the meat color is white?
@petrhermanadventures95093 жыл бұрын
The strain of Chinook we get in the Vedder River is not able to metabolise red pigments from their food, so their meat ends up pale. Some individual fish are able to partially absorb pigments and they end up orange or marbled red and white.
