This is so helpful! Thank you so much, going to submit my 3 videos to hopefully get accepted into the Amazon Influencer Program!

Thanks for sharing your filming technique! I also use CapCut and I’m always looking for ways to improve. I’m also a teacher and I’ve been an Amazon influencer for about 9 months. My only suggestion would be that if you’re reviewing something that makes noise, the customer probably wants to hear it. On your pencil sharpener video, I was expecting to hear the pencil sharpener (and I thought wow, that really is quiet 😆) and then I remembered that you do voiceovers. My suggestion would be to isolate that video clip where you’re talking about how quiet the pencil sharpener is and then increase the volume to normal level. I wish you success with AIP! Have a great day!

oh that's a really good point! Maybe I'll make another video about the loudness!

Such great advice and your video is the perfect balance between professional and on-the-fly. I’m getting ready to create my first three videos and was glad to find your tip on recording the voiceover then matching the video to it. I was going to try the opposite.

I’m glad it helped! I’ve found doing the voiceover first helps most of the time but it kinda depends on the product sometimes. Best of luck on your first 3!

Beautifully done. There were some surprises not mentioned but shown in the final demonstration. I would say you've got the hang of this. Thank you.

for me the confusing part is are we supposed to make them salesy or like real reviews that also mention negatives?
@MakerSchoolhouse4 ай бұрын
It really depends. If you are reviewing as part of one of the programs where you get a commission if the customer purchases the product after watching your review, then I think it's best to try to stay as positive as possible. I purchase all my products, I do not accept free products, so I do a lot of research beforehand and make sure I'm buying something I'm pretty sure I will use and like so it's easy to make a positive review. If I don't like something, I just don't make a review of it rather than make a negative review since I'm part of the program that receives commissions, that just seems counterproductive. I will point out some negative features if it is truly going to help the consumer make a educated purchase. If you are just making reviews for fun, then honestly and truthfulness is your best bet.

How long do videos usually take to get in the carousel? Is this immediate? Or can a video you made months ago and up in the carousel a few months later?
@MakerSchoolhouse4 ай бұрын
It depends on how many videos for the product are available and the quality of your video. No one knows exactly how it works, but I have some really informative videos for expensive products, and they stay in the carousel. Others rotate in and out. Some suggest deleting and re-uploading videos to keep them in the carousel, but that seems too time consuming. I think the best strategy is to put in the effort to make a really good video, and if they see that it is making sales, it will stay in the rotation.

Hi! I used my Canon VIXIA HF R800 Portable Video Camera Camcorder with Audio Input(Microphone), 3.0-Inch Touch Panel LCD. I got it on Amazon! I linked in description. I use it to record my son playing field sports so I’m not sure I had the recording setting correct.

@@MakerSchoolhouse thank you, and you have no problem putting videos on amazon with it? or do you have a program you use for that.?

Hey Ana! I know this is unrelated. How did you get that specific color of your little martin lx1? It's so pretty and I can't find it anywhere! Thank you

Haha! Where do you even see my mini Martin in this video???
@MakerSchoolhouse8 ай бұрын
I bought it at South Austin Guitar in 2007, so it’s been awhile, and that store no longer exists! It’s a fantastic guitar! Didn’t realize the color was rare! I think they sell them on Amazon tbh.

Do you film side to side or vertical?

For Amazon reviews, I've had better luck filming side to side!

Do you add thumbnails to your review videos? If so, how?
@marlawalsh1197 Жыл бұрын
How long should the video be? How much do you have to normally practice to get the timing right!?!
@MakerSchoolhouse Жыл бұрын
I think anywhere between 1-3 minutes depending on the product you are reviewing. Anything longer and viewers lose interest, and anything shorter won't give you enough time to discuss all the important points.
