Great helpful tips and information! This information and knowledge is very helpful. I am learning.Thank you. I wanted to know did you film the whole event straight through in its entirety or parts of event for a highlight piece?

Did you mic the speakers? If so, how did you mic them? Lavs, wireless, ect?

Amazing job!! Did you record audio of the speakers? If so, were you wirelessly running that audio into one of your cameras, or did you have the H6 hidden somewhere close to the stage?
@LowellProductions3 ай бұрын
so for this particular event I lucked out and there is a production company that is running live cameras that I am able to recieve their audio each day. But if I dont have that access I use my H6 to record the full run of show and then sync the audio and video in post. Cheers

Hello. I am a Filmmaker from Paraguay and we don't have cameras in the store for testing and my question is what do you think is better? I have right now just a Canon 80D and like this camera but I need two camera for weddings. I have 2 Sigma lenses, the 18-35 and the 50-100 f1.8. And now I'm not sure which camera to buy, that Canon R7 or the Lumix S5, what do find make more sense?
@LowellProductions2 жыл бұрын
So i'm a little bias so I lean more toward Panasonic because I really think there videos features/settings are in an abundence at a great price. That being said my second shooter was using the canon r5 or R6 and shooting fully auto and the footage looked great. I do feel like the ibis on the Lumix is better than the canons but thats my personal opinion. Overall if you are looking to get the best bang for the buck go Lumix, but if you need AF for most of your productions the canon might be a better option for you. Are you able to possibly rent the camera bodies of these cameras to test them out before you purchase one? Cheers for the great comment.

@@LowellProductions thanks men. No it's impossible to rent cameras here in our country and test them out. I now bought me the Canon eos R7 because I have some ef lenses and I like it so far, it's good for sportshooting 👌

That looked like a pretty compact folding table you set up. It looks much more compact and lightweight than the Costco ones I have. What kind is that?
@LowellProductions Жыл бұрын
The table was acutally an Amazon purchase but the cart was the item I got from Costco. Cheers Morton

Probably a 4ft table instead of a 6ft table

So you just used wireless mics on the speakers? What did you do for ambient sound/ audience? Did you run the h6 into the receiver, board, or speakers? Thanks in advance.
@ideaplusagency Жыл бұрын
If you're in the back of a room you're probably closer to the audio guys so it's always better to patch into their mixer. Ambient crowd noise is always picked up naturally when people clap or cheer. You can always mix it with applause or clapping stock sound clips in post

could you have done the event on your own ? Solo
@LowellProductions5 ай бұрын
I have in the past, and the final results were good but having Chay or someone else help is a huge plus as we are typically having to document several different rooms/break out events all going on at once over the 3 day event. Its doable with one person but also over the years the budget for the video side of things has increased which allows me to hire help. Great question. Cheers

If your camera is going to be stationary invest in a folding high chair
