Great instructional vid Charlie, exactly what we'd all expect for your good self!! Follow ups of using this gear on the bank, and maybe compiling content, editing etc would be great too? I'd probably disagree slightly over the action camera issue. For roving fishing, a chest mounted Go Pro really puts the viewer right by your side. Maybe not for static fishing, where a few different views of the angler and scenery emphasise the atmosphere. I think personally using video rather than still photos is more fish friendly for selfies, better to take a still from a video than wait for a fish to stop flapping around as it gasps for oxygen. For a long time I used a Chinese action cam, but getting a go pro has made a big difference. As you say, doing it for personal pleasure rather than money is very important. My channel is pretty unsuccessful in terms of stats, but I've gained a lot of respect and made new friends up and down the country and beyond, some of which I visit, collaborate, and fish with. @@soultrader57fishingandmusi25 thanks mate and yeah that’s such a good point - I bump into anglers who wouldn’t have otherwise stopped to chat with me. They talk to me like we are good friends even if I’ve never spoken to them before which is great. I know what you mean about action cameras - in rough water and weather, the old wobbly action cam view definitely adds to excitement and feel. I just found that chest mounted for obstructed by my hands a lot and head camera was on a permanent swivel. Made me realise that I don’t keep my head still for a second lol. Maybe they’re best suited to fly and lure? Thanks for the suggestions and nice to hear from you 👍
