Don't let a man have to tell you twice that he doesn't want you. This saved me plenty of time in my single days

If you are looking for a healthy and stable individual. Be a healthy and stable individual. Like attracts like.
@Dragonfly_magictarot2 жыл бұрын
That’s not always true. Unfortunately some unhealthy people look for healthy individuals so that the healthy person can help them heal which is unfair. It turns into a shit show. Unhealthy people need therapy. And shouldn’t even date anyone until they heal themselves! ❤

@@Dragonfly_magictarot LIES we tell ourselves when we lack self awareness. Healthy people are turned off by unhealthy people. Unhealed people claiming to be healthy are the ones trying heal others when they’re not healed themselves

I agree with not telling the man exactly what you want but rather to tell him what you expect. But my narcissistic EX did exactly what he said he was going to do and he also was very courteous and very much a gentleman. I think he pretty much looked at me and saw that polished, would be the kind of man that I would want. Then played that role. I think you also have to really look at how you Feel about yourself when you're in the presence of and involved with, this person. If he shows up late you feel anxious; if he doesn't do what he says he's going to do, you feel at his mercy; if he critiques you when you share a problem, you feel diminished rather than helped. He may give you all kinds of flattery, roses, etc.... but if you feel like less than your empowered self when you're in the presence of this man.... even if he looks and plays the part of a prince, you have to pack up your picnic basket, just like he said and move on.

If he’s your ex or you dated him for more than 1 month, then you aren’t a high quality woman either. Emotionally healthy women would be able to spot an emotionally unhealthy man and certainly not enter into a relationship

People y’all shit about Steve a lot but he gives good advice. I always acted like a woman but talked like a man as in: what do you want? I want this that and the other and if that’s not I. The realm of making that happen, I’m out. Always set boundaries and get very hood at being alone because the second you start dating the standard has changed. I’m fine being alone and I have peace being alone and doing whatever I want. It’ll take an AMAZING person to take some of my time away from me.

I saw your original comment and just wanted to say that I relate a lot to what of you expressed feeling, and it is the last area of my trauma where I will feel discouraged sometimes as well. For me, it's moreso trying to rewire my brain to not view intimacy as a drug to chase. But there's other layers to it, too.

Having Friends Without Benefits - Yes. Why is it when I watch parental court videos where the young couple have been together with 3 kids but not married. A relationship based on sex will eventually cave. Sex is the icing on the relationship cake. But what the heck do I know - I've only been married 54 years.
