You can only copyright your own lyrics. You don't own the beat unless you buy the beat from the producer with 100% ownership.

I'd also like to say, negativity is part of reality. If you can't accept the negative aspects of life, then you wont make it far in this business. Being cynical is ideal in this business. You must plan for the worst and be in tune with reality. Most don't make it out of the music business with ANY success, whether you like it or not. Also, emotional content does better than bland/generic information that you can Google.
