To re-emphasize what he said about signing with ASCAP or BMI, it is very important to do that, because it is impossible for us to keep up with who is playing our music. Remember our music , hopefully, somewhere, everywhere, even when we are sleeping, is playing. Always remember we are in the business of making MONEY. He does a Great Job pointing out the stuff we need to do if we want to be successful in this music biz. Don't worry about what if, they could, what about, etc. Just do what you can do to protect yourself. I know I am. Thanks again for the Info my brother. (I'll see you at the Grammy Awards).

I am just now looking to start publishing my music...exactly 4 years after tragedy and death struck too close to home and effectively changed the course and indeed the very meaning of life and how I need to redirect core elements, so that I can now at age 55 can move through the rest of my life, with solid conviction, clarity, and a strong sense of meaningful purpose. I am accomplishing this via being strongly motivated by and for many good reasons. For the moment, there is ONE which is absolutely, without question the most important, and most powerful, most relavant, and noble of personal motivations. It really and truly is my heart and soul, life dream and desire. I path I have wanted and known well in my oldest memory, I should have embarked on it in my teens. However several factors, both real and physical and psychological were in place and formibable they were. It is a story I will make known and available to all who would hear it. So those who DO will have a much better understanding of untapped power and abilities WE all posess, so that just about Anyone can utilise more of their potential and at the same time "Move" in the world around them and at large, as though it were well oiled, for much less friction, and tuned up to efficiently, and willingly assist in ones resolve. I AM doing it. 5 or 6 years ago, if were possible for someone to tell me about what I'd be doing with my life as I type this, I'd most likely presume that person was barking MAD, and impossible to believe. I am prefacing the story here, ONLY to re-enforce the reader's potential to resolve themselves to do anything ANYTHING they do because it is worth doing to the BEST of their abilities, given what means they are afforded at anytime they accept a task, and offer nothing less to that task. Or do it NOT at all. My response to this video, given my lack of any knowledge of marketing, is therefore launched with all but indestructable conviction & understanding of a much deeper truth, and care with which it is well marked. Simply summed up, If you are aiming as I am to succeed in following through a Vocation relating to this, I urge the reader to do EVERY single thing he is advising. Skip nothing. Unless you are already embedded with it and understand why. I can clearly see this man possesses Generalised Wisdom, it is a thing FEW people ever obtain at anytime during the long and at times daunting passing from "Womb to Tomb", provided they are fortunate enough to have lived at all... The Heart is where Home is. Not the reverse. I hope everyone will move in that direction, arriving on the journey. When we come to know This journey IS also the Destination, we may finally come home at last, for the last time, regardless of when or where we are. There we can never loose our way. Not when we are ALWAYS Right HERE, Right NOW.

Another amazing video! I'd be so thankful if you could do like a checklist video for the legal paperwork that has to be done before releasing and how each bullet point is done (maybe a video series?)... like trademark the artist name, buy the inet domains, trademark/copyright the coverart, the album title, ISRC Codes, copyright the music itself, soundexchange/ascap/BMI... Just all the essential stuff and how to fo it... I know you already adress some of it but a full checklist would be soooo helpful... and the internet doesn't deliver it either, judging from my google search...
