Just showing the process I used to find what I would consider an entry level position that doesn't require experience or certification in the Salesforce industry.

Good luck with the job hunt! I'm working on a way to help connect people like yourself with entry level positions. Here's the site we are happing people submit their contact to. dewwow.force.com/s/applicants. Then as I learn about opportunities I have people to reach out to. I've have a position in Waukesha, Wisconsin right now for an entry level admin for example.

Hi, First, I have to say I really enjoy watching your videos and as a matter of fact, your videos have played a large role in deciding to become an admin. I'm giving serious consideration to getting admin certified but there are few, if any, jobs in my province (New Brunswick, Canada, not willing to relocate). Would you say to go for it, that the jobs will come or advice against it? Thanks, Ed

Hello! Thank you for the video. I am a professional with 6 yrs of investment banking operations experience and 4 years of business analyst experience. Right now I am looking to switch as a Salesforce professional. I went through the initial steps of Trialblazer, also to realise that I would prefer the "Service Careers" as my career path. Now I am wondering how do I align myself to the learning and certifications since I see it's broadly classified as Developer, Admin, Sales. Could you please help. I am from India.

I’m planning on watching more of your videos as my husband is trying to get his first salesforce job. He’s been working on this for over a year now with no luck, and he has his admin certification and his plat app certification. He’s currently learning python and working on CPQ as well but he has had no luck even getting an interview. It’s very discouraging especially when he has his ranger badge already but nothing has come out of it.

@@djb6496 yeah it never happened for him. Apparently becoming a stock broker is easier. My experience is that most places don't care if you have a degree. Some do, but most don't. Never too late to get into it. With the shut downs though... it's going to more difficult. There's a job like this you can get once you've been doing salesforce for a year (no cert or degree required) www.indeed.com/jobs?q=salesforce&l=canada&advn=5257991122293750&vjk=24e5db5646cc5929 or there is this one where you just need 1 year some type of professional work history www.indeed.com/jobs?q=salesforce&l=Milwaukee%2C%20WI&vjk=a31f14efdbc3094e

Well.... lots of other things to factor in. If you are local to the business and can be on site that will probably help the most. Being willing to accept lower pay might help. I think having the ability to learn independently is the biggest quality to looking for in the Salesforce world because things change so often. @JD-qo7hm4 жыл бұрын
Im studying for the 201 too. My advice, list the experience anyway. If youve been using the platform effectively I don't think you need to have been in an admin role to claim the experience. For example, in my current job I handle a lot of the payroll and manage a lot of smaller projects as they come up via the estate manager, better believe im putting that I have both cash handling and project management experience on my resume lol. I heard someone in a video once say, "let THEM decide if you're qualified, don't decide for yourself." Worst case, they pass on you, best case they give you a shot to show who you are and what you can do in an interview.

I'm going to be honest to those who've stumbled across this video. If youre a certified Admin with no experience, even if you have a solid TH profile, it will be very difficult to get into SF. For the majority of candidates, it may take years and many rejected applications to get in the door. Even if your training in SF over the years has made you knowledgeable of the platform, the competition in SF at the admin level is becoming saturated. Most HR depts at any given company, honestly, dont even know what they want or what they're looking for. It's common that they'll ask for an Admin, but post requirements that really need a Dev, Consultant, or Architect. The increase in certified professionals has naturally begun to devalue the certifications (especially at the admin level) in which solid experience trumps everything else. I dont want to unnerve anyone, but for the majority of those who will likely see first-hand what I'm talking about, you need to be prepared to strategize your entry into the field with alternative pathways. Go to meetings and network. At this point, it's your best bet for getting your foot in the door and not ending up as just another resume on the cutting room floor.

I am working in a company at the same time i want to gain experience in Salesforce admin is that possible to apply this hour payment jobs simultaneously
@NextLevelAdmin2 жыл бұрын
Get to know the admins at your company and make sure they know you want to learn. Also make sure your manager knows and the manager of the salesforce team. In other words, start with communication. If they want to encourage your learning they might be willing to setup a sandbox so you can see their specific implementation. Anything is possible. If you take on side work for hourly pay... some employers will not like you doing this on the side. So it's up to you if you want to damage that relationship.
