If you want a list mapping the numeric file names to the font names look under the .c folder for the file entitlements.xml. Each font is represented by a element with and child elements that give the numeric file name and actual font name for each font respectively.

Strangely I don't have a blank file with hidden folders. Inside the LiveType folder, I have 2 other folders called customhook and livetype.framework, I don't have the .r anywhere, is anyone able to help with this? Thanks!

I've never had this issue before but Apple in their wisdom have recently changed to not allowing access to fonts installed via Adobe Creative Cloud (in apps like Pages or Final Cut Pro. This is really annoying when opening up legacy projects requiring amends. Your tip has saved the day!

For Pc Users: The folder is located in the Path: C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync\plugins\livetype It's essentially the same as the video. Go wild. Also thank you so much for the video // Just noitced people already posted it. In much more detail too. Haha.

CoreSync and LiveType folders are now located Aobe Sync in Applications folder but there is no access to the fonts. Now, they are somewhere, but where..

Ok, I actually discovered that my fonts were all in the .w folder instead. If you're having trouble with an empty .r folder, check the other ones, I guess!

I also found some fonts within .t and .w folders. Also, I have had issues locating specific fonts in Font Book, some fonts just straight up aren’t in there. Luckily, similar fonts are located relatively close to one another so I've been able to find them. (For example, I was looking for Neue Haas Grotesk DISPLAY which does not appear in my Font Book while Neue Haas Grotesk TEXT does. I located the .# file of the Neue Haas Text and then manually searched for Neue Haas Display from there.) Is anyone else having this issue? Can this be resolved?
