For 1.21 you need to add the smithing template too, if you’re applying netherite to anything diamond. Also, some people use custom textures for ancient debris to make like blue or a right color to see them when mining. The brown of the ancient debris kind of blends in with netherrack sometimes.

Bed mining = yesness Hint: place down bed. Go five blocks away from bed, put down x1 cobblestone, crouch (shield), boom. No damage. Rinse, wash, repeat. Now you can use protection instead of blast. Also, enchant a golden helmet with fire protection. Lava happens. Sadly, you are going to want shulkers to carry beds. Not so much concerned with netherite as I am fire rods. Potions are much more important.

to help with carrying beds, just bring a bunch of wool and a bunch of wood and craft a good amount of beds as you go, instead of crafting them all at once

Another thing is that you also need a netherite smithing template to upgrade your armor

They're pretty easy to find, especially in desert villages

Why is mining at the chunk wall the best way? Can't it spawn in the center of the chunk as well?

Yes, but if you mine at a chunk wall, you have more of a chance of finding multiple from different chunks

On bedrock using a calculator the 2x2 strip with tunnels left and right just started every 16 is a long setup but worth it, I’ll try that method mixed with tnt method and see what happens have a good few shulkers of gunpowder at hand

Ancient debris are not hard to find tho,it's quite easy you'll need some beds and youre good to go
