How to find and access images stored in Photos on your Mac

In this video, I show you how to find and access your images stored on you Mac.
They are saved within the MacOS when you have imported them to the Photos program built into the macOS.
The video shows how to quickly access the photos library and then how to copy them into a folder easily managed.

right click Photo Library > Select Show package content mine was in the subfolders of the main folder named "ORIGINALS"

I wonder if the sub folders are not “random numbers” but ordered buy import date. I noticed the photo info wasn’t 2013/11/09 but perhaps it was uploaded in September of 2013.

How do you delete the files from this folder? I am able to copy them and put them in a different folder. But I would like to delete them from the Master folder you mentioned in your video but it isn't allow me to do so.

Easiest way is Enable pictures on sidebar in case you don’t have it in finder Sidebar. - Then right click Photo Library > Select Show package content (3rd option usually) > Open Masters folder🤩 There you got it!!🤩 Enjoyyyyy🙌🏻😎

Thanks so much! Does this technically create a duplicate meaning it's taking up 2x the space on the hard drive? If so, is it as easy as deleting them from the photos app after you've copied them to the new folder structure? Thank you!

Hey, Yes you are correct if you save them to a separate area say in your Pictures folder under a specific folder name this is separate to Apple Photos file structure.

That didn't quite work for me. Maybe I have another operating system though. I found using 'Image Capture' helped me going forward though.

Try searching your Mac for the either jpg or HEIC if it finds anything go to the location
