I recently inherited a large collection (~14k books) and I've been a collector of sports cards and work in eCommerce so I know how to catalog and sell things online, but I've been enjoying this process so much with the comics I've started to think about trying to buy larger collections in bulk to do this again once I'm through the one I'm working on. So I've been watching some videos to see how others are doing it when having to actually pay for the collection is involved. This is one of the best videos I've seen about the topic. It's succinct, it's not filled with fluff, it has insane value with some of the tips and pointers that I wouldn't have thought about on my own, and you wrap it up reminding people to be respectful and not take advantage of others. Just a brilliant video and I wish you all the success in the world.

Good info. Agree with everything you brought up. I would add this tip: Try to get the person selling the collection to come up with a ballpark price they are wanting first- before you make an offer. This have saved me a lot of time and money. Some folks are delusional, and some folks have no clue of what they have.

How would I make small non-key bulks to sell on eBay (quantity, company, characters, etc)? Not looking to flip, just getting rid of most of my collection. Awesome vid, sir!

All those are great ways, Easiest way would be consecutive issues or volume lots, runs etc… and auction them off. So ex Spiderman vol 2 issues #5-15, starting bid $10.00. If they’re scattered just say She Hulk Vol 3 lot and start bid at roughly $1 a book. You can start higher but lower starts would draw more people to your eBay page. And they may buy other stuff

Dude, everyone needs to get business cards. For 500 sweet double sided cards, you're in for less than $100. I have made THOUSANDS from them. They are worth their weight in gold. Most people won't call you back but those who do will make everything worth it.
