How to find and mine EPIC Tritium Hotspots!

I've learned FA off pretty well by now, but i gotta say that mining is probably the hardest flying to do without flight assists.

Have around 1500 hours in the game. At the start of the week by far the best ship I owned was my Jumpaconda and had 120 mill in the bank. Now it's the end on the week and I have a decent built Cutter, about to buy my Corvette and have a fleet carrier. I tried doing trit mining with my Anacondo and yes it was working but then I look at the numbers you put out in this video and just jumped back to the bubble to try this build out.

Mind that most Tritium hotspots really do suck. Near the Bubble we found a hotspot that can be used for testing your gear at a good ring. Praea Euq MU-E C25-6 A 3 Ring A

Literally broke my first million credits today, randomly found a hot spot doing a task for methane clathrate, like i stopped doing the quest and just kept looking for more tritium

Where's that hotspot? We haven't found any good ones in the Bubble yet, but maybe you did? For pure credits, you'll be better off mining Platinum in the Bubble. Metallic Rings. Also, look us up on Inara. STLC. Server link there.

Wait so you just filter out those star types until you find one system with those stars types that happen to have planets icy rings? Isnt there a way to filter those planets as well?

Yes, but if you're in the Bubble it'll be so much faster to just buy it and make your money in some other way. In the void, you have STAR depots as an option, if you can afford that. That said, you can use the Tritium Highway overlay on ED Astro to find verified good hotspots along your route and with some practice and a good build you should be able to put 300 tons per hour or more in your tank. Depending on how heavy you are that means 3-4 sessions for you to travel to the next verified hotspot. I've been travelling for a year now on only mined Tritium, including 2 visits to Beagle Point, so it's absolutely possible.

I don't understand how 14 is low dude... I run 9 collectors with size 2 lasers... My ship never stops... it keeps going at 100m/s the entire time... while I'm coming to a rock it mines the rock fully about the time I turn to avoid hitting it and move to the next rock. The 9 class a limpets gather all the bits from the rock in the same time that I'm within limpet range...

Yeah, that doesn't sound like Tritium mining... And it depends on the laser setup, right? On my Cutter I run 7 lasers, 20 collectors, check my other video. For SSD mining with the Cutter, I'm spinning around the rock following the deposit. Fragments go everywhere and a lot of them die. Need as many collectors as you can possibly fit for that.

@@ruffleif8381 not really. A rock only has so many chunks regardless of laser amount. 4 size 2 empty a rock in less time than it takes to go from500 to 0 meters. And I’m not arguing here I’m trying to figure out how you can do so much more volume. I’ll build a duplicate copy of your ship and try, but for pure laser mining without deep core I rarely get over 120t per hr.

@@AtlasRandGaming That's cause ring quality matters big time. I'd say 80% Tritium hotspots are just shitty. We spend weeks scouting and testing the ones we present to the community. And because Tritium has very low yield in general for laser, all these little efficiency improvements sum up to make a big difference. For laser mining, check my other video with the 7x laser Cutter. I only go for rocks with 10% or more, btw, and there's quite a few elements involved. Search STLC on Inara and feel free to join our server.
