Wrong... the "draft" doesn't show up when u click on it, at least not on Android. This video was useless. But, thx for trying!

Right. The only way to get rid of it is clear the cache or clear data. May 17 2024

I can see the blue draft message next to the message. However, when I reopen the message, the draft is actually gone. How do I edit the draft then?

I don't see the blue draft button only the word draft

I finally got rid of my draft (the blue word draft/blue draft button). I created another draft and then clicked on the blue word draft and then deleted it. I had to do this twice, but on the second time all my drafts were deleted!!! Hope this works for you all.

I go back and the draft is nowhere to be found, the message box I type in is blank. I had to retype the message, send it and I still have the blue draft on that person but go in and the message I had stated typing is still missing. Just a blank message box to start typing in!

I typed a long text message and left it. I took couple of pictures I wanted to include in message, selected the message to be sent to same contact. Went sent it the first very important, very long message DRAFT disappeared. Can it be retrieved? PLEASE, SOME BRAINIAC HELP ME?

If you have a message that says draft, but when you open conversation its not there. Archive the message then unarchive it. It should go away then, and any other convo that has draft should let you delete the draft and it will go away

This is not work. I typed this message to someone and I wasn't able to send it cuz I kept getting interrupted with other things. So I went back and I sent it then when that person responded to me and I wanted to send a response to that it still kept showing my draft and I had to keep highlighted it all hitting the exmark to deleting it that I sent my new message. Three times I wanted to send my friend a message even with some pictures but every single time I would open Messenger and try to send something new It kept having that draft on there it would not remove it. I went to storage cleared the cache and thinking that would help No it still says draft it's still on there It is annoying and I can't get it off. I'm tired of highlighting it every single time and hitting the X backspace to get it off It won't go away!! This is like three times that I've had to go through this It's continuously happening

Clicking on draft does not actually pull up the draft, at least on androids. The only solution I have found that actually works in deleting the draft is archiving the chat and then un-archiving it immediately. It's annoying but it works.
