Thanks for the video! My Frame TV arrives next week, so I am trying to gather as much helpful information that I can now. This will be helpful as I don't intend to get the art subscription.

This was helpful thank you. Just one small thing when you're resizing your image. The ppi (in your case you set it to 300) has no bearing at all on how it displays on your screen. All the screen cares about is the pixel dimensions 3840 x 2160. The ppi is only important for printing. Hope this helps 👍

True. It is really only for inches, as well, not for pixel sizes. If you are making a design that is 8 x10 inches @300 DPI, you would make a 2400 x 3000 pixels. People don’t understand, if you make a graphic or image, and if you change the dpi, it actually will change the inch size.

You are working harder than you need to. The pixel density is irrelevant - that is 300 or 72 or 144 pixels per inch. All that matters, for this are the actual pixel dimensions. I would set the dimension that you want to not change to what you want - that is the exact pixel dimension for the TV. Then you can crop the other dimension, as you want, and Photoshop will show you the dimensions, live, before you accept the crop. This can be done in less than a minute, in most image processing programs. With the image you used as an example - resize the image to the desired width, then crop the top and bottom as desired to the needed dimensions - and save it.

This was helpful. I am an iphone and ipad user and I am trying to put photos on my Samsung frame 65 and I am using the image sizer app, but its not allowing me to expand It to the size of the frame and It has a large Matt on It. How can I do what you did in this video

Thank you so much for the video. I just got my frame TV and this was super helpful. Where did you get your frame (if thats the right term?, the thing that goes around your tv)?
@Lannd842 жыл бұрын
300 is not necessary, that is only if you want to print. 72 is the standard for digital. If you make it 300, it will just make file size bigger.

Thank you so much! Very instructive and loved the. Fine art section even though it was hard to find with the new site. However! I loved your frame for your Frame!!! So beautiful! Is it bought or crafted? Here in Sweden they only sell four discrete options with plain frames.

Will this work on any tv or does it have to be a smart tv?

That was so super helpful. I have a Samsung the Frame TV set aside for me at our local dealer for when our renos are complete. It’s a 65”. Does the size of the TV make any difference in the pixel or resolution settings you choose when cropping? So excited for FREE ART!!! Any other resources would be very appreciated also!

So glad! Great question too! From what I researched and learned, it doesn't matter the size of the TV. Those are the pixel sizes. But you may want to experiment on that size to see what size of image file you can get away with and have it look good. I've noticed when I have bought a couple of images off Etsy sized for the Frame TV, they are all the same no matter the size of TV - so that is what makes me think it should not matter.

Hi, thank you for the helpful video. I'm considering hanging my Frame TV vertically, but concerned I may have trouble resizing art for this orientation. Do you know if I would need to change the pixel numbers when re-sizing vertically as opposed to landscape?
@MissMolly3377 Жыл бұрын
That shouldn’t matter, just change the image to the vertical position. It shouldn’t affect that.

I’m getting a connection error with iPhone 14 (iOS16) and smart things app, so I cannot upload any picture from my device. Are you facing the same issue? Thanks!
@ZoneOne215011 ай бұрын
People, just find a 16:9 or save to 16:9 ratio. that's the tv ratio.
@jujutsu9149 ай бұрын
unfortunately you cannot upload this size in canva. it only allows max of 25mb
