For everyone wondering how to find a worlds monolith. -Take your navigation data to your local space station -trade navigation data at the cartographer (vendor nearest the portal) -trade for alien cartography maps -go to planet and use the map, it will ping nearby alien structures

I discovered a few portals on my travels. I did mark them with a beacon knowing that they were important to the game but too frightened to enter them encase I got lost if they were one-way travel lol. Thanks to ur video I now know I can travel back after exploring the other side :0)

Jason Plays , I built a base next to a portal during the Next update. Recently came back to it after the Beyond update. After activating all the glyphs it is locked onto one location. I get a loop of dialogue bit it never lets me enter a new location. If I save and reload the portal is always active for the first location I entered. Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Video is a little outdated now. Here's what worked for me; Traded Nav Data to the Cartographer at the Space Station, for Alien Cartographic Data Planetary Charts. Used a few of the Charts to point me to a Monolith and a few other Ancient Sites, eventually a Chart pointed me BACK to a Monolith i had already visited, but upon interacting with it again it gave me a Vy'Keen Dagger and then a waypoint to a Portal.

Dude...I had no idea you could scan for trade posts with the "X" key specifically. I usually have knowledge of the topics of your videos but I didn't know this at all. My thanks to you. In my experience, you should keep five of each of these: Korvax casings, gek relic, and vykeen daggers respective to the system to find the portals. By the way the signal booster sometimes jacks you around. Last night I used it to find a monolith and it gave me a far away alien ruin and as I was flying that route just after takeoff I could see a monolith a short distance off to the side. So I immediately changed course and did find the portal. I always leave a beacon at portals and in case of finding a monolith and I don't have the special item, I leave one there until I find it. I didn't know the ship pilots had them, so I just visited cargo drops and searched the green boxes for them. I owe you for that info brother. Last night I was hopping from one system to another to visit tech merchants to equip my new double box S48+8 hauler a somewhat ungainly ship like yours but two boxes each side. At this one station as soon as I stepped put of the teleporter, I saw an exotic sitting on the landing pad, but I took a screenshot and moved on as I was only interested in gathering tech upgrades. I visited the planet to find a trading post and portal so I could share the address for those who don't already own one. When I returned I was in and out of game setting up KZbin videos to listen to while playing and after a few waves (???) I saw a double ball hauler S48+8 so I switched yet again. (some people are never satisfied) Here is the address in Hilbert: 3-1-2-8-16-11-1-12-2-10-10-3 it leads to the Salian system and Salian Station Alpha, happy hunting my friends. @@bossedup957 You must go nack through the destination portal. As far as I know because I haven't played since becoming unhappy with the Beyond update, that is the only way to travel once a portal is active.

I would make sure that the mission is selected then head to a space station. When you use the teleporter it will show you where your mission is so use that

Any tips how to solve Polos mission to scan all Animals on one planet? Got already a planet with 2 of 2 animals scanned, but it doesn't count. At my home planet I have 12 of 13, but I have no clue where the last could be. Are there animals in caves?

Oh that one is really hard. Check caves and water, those are the last places that animals always hide. What I did was jump from system to system looking for anomaly planets. Those are the planets with weird plants, like bubbles or crystals. Those planets have just 1 animal always. Find it and you are good. Now the trick is you have to go to your discovery tab in the pause menu. The animal paw in the top right hand corner, click it so it counts.

Just go to exotic planets. They usually only have 1 animal. Once you find every animal on a planet, don't forget to press the silver star on the discovery page until it turns gold. It only counts that way

Hey Jason, my portal is bugged where when I interact with it, it doesn't let me input coordinates and when I go through, I can't access my starship, freighter, Exocraft, companions, or build. Could you do a video on how to fix this? Just thought I’d add that although the system is limited once you get there, that doesn’t mean you can’t explore its bounties - i.e. if there is a platform that has great ships visiting or the system sells s class multi tools, you can pick those up and portal back home!

Hmmm, I actually don't know this one. I have heard about that as well, but don't know the details. Did they join your game? I think in order to make a monument you have to run into them in the wild, just by happen stance being in the same system at random.

I'm on the quest "a leap in the dark" on the step where I have to enter the portal. When I input the glyphs, the portal turns on but I can't enter it. no prompt appears and I can just walk straight through the portal effect (it makes the sound effect the first time I touch it) and out the other side. Reloading save and restarting game did not fix edit: verifying game files also did not fix edit: neither did leaving the planet and returning

Artifacts like Ancient bones and Salvage? As long as you have the Analyzer all that stuff will pop up. If you mean on an Exocraft then you have to get both upgrades to your scanner in order to do that. This upgrades are given when you complete the Exocraft missions for the specialist at the base.

So if you are able to find a portal in your home system and get the address, can friends come over and make home planets beside mine, or how does that work, what is the best way of finding your friends in game? We tried that they joined my game today, but didn't work that well, they got sent to a planet in my system without their ships or being able to summon them.. After several tries we did actually find their ships, but they where broken and had to be fixed. Actually everything was like they got there as the first time on a new game, getting to a starter planet without anything..

Oh you can only have one. This is my glitch / exploit save. About 8 months ago there was a glitch to duplicate everything, including tech. I still have it installed but they have patched that exploit out. It's like my trophy from a different time

joey feldhaus the Cartographer at space stations will sell you charts that locate ancient artifacts. Make sure you read the description if you get one thats not an artifact consume it so that the game doesn’t stack it.

I just started playing last week. When I was FINALLY able to visit the Anomaly, I discovered the "Nexus" (the large sphere inside the giant cube, located where you park your starship) gives missions to earn quicksilver. And there is an NPC at a kiosk next to the Nexus, who sells things for quicksilver.

Ok I think I figured it out. When you charge the portal, sometimes the substance doesn’t fill the charge to %100. When all of them are topped off the portal activated.

Really not seeing the benefit of using these when I can just use the Teleporter in the Space Station to get everywhere I've been before, and can just join a friend's game and be there instantly. Found these strange HUGE circle structures tnite, 2 of them mechanical with the inner ring spinning. Didnt show up as any monolith or anything like that. Found it on one of those spinned planets.

When you have the option to either reset the galaxie and travel to another or leave and come back later HOW do you get back to the Atlas and choose to leave ?

I think you either have to manually travel to the core or use a portal

Doesn't work the same for me when I use the signal booster. Just says locate nearby structures. Im on xbox btw

They changed it, you need to exchange maps with the cartographer (navigational data) and buy the bottom one there’s some videos to help u from there
