That 3 pounder was a good size for the area. He was probably top dog, or second place. I’m glad I’m not the only one who surfs the satellite for good places to fish, and water depths. It’s really helped me find some good honey holes

How do you find the depths? Google earth for spots but what for depths?

@@ryanharrod1155Google fisherman depth map, there's a free one that rules. I find a 19 foot hole off of my local pier on the map and snagged a big ass walleye!
@Killada3pt4 жыл бұрын
The deepest holes are in the outside bend. Current erodes it from that bank and deposits it downriver at the next bend. So that deadfall should be where sediment is being deposited.

Hey M. Hood. Went out to Lake Pontchartrain and pulled out a Black Tip Shark...2.7ft. Couldn't weigh it, but it was a baby, so I was able to get my hook back without harming it, and released it safely. Just wanted to share my experience with you. I'm a fan and have been for a while. Tight lines.

Hey M. Hood. Sure miss your fishing vids. Found this one which evidently no one has commented on. I had not liked so glad I found it. Hope you're just burnt out on fishing videos and are doing good. Stay safe and I hope you're still a non smoker. Thanks for this vid.

Glad the catfish are biting on the Sabine. I fish the river south of you down around Logansport la and sometimes I do well on the blues.biggist around 8-10 pounds. I eat my fish so I never put back that’s eating size I always say it’s against my religion to put back an eater

I fish the sabine near logansport. The water is extremely low. I've been seeing massive holes in the dirt wall that would be a dropoff when the water is up. Will they return to the old holes, or just burrow out another one?

Hey mr hood try hooking one of those bait fish just under the dorsal Finn that’s gonna catch a big ole cat 🐈!
@gamecockmike1755 жыл бұрын
Hang some lines from those limbs and come back in an hour, make sure you still got live bait still on the hook, small bream, sunfish will work to and keep doing that every hour and I promise you will hook much bigger fish than you will than fishing for them.

I once went to Cumberland didn't catch anything until my last day I went down early to the river and my line got tangled so I cut it and I left it and came back before we left to find a white bass on there
@gamecockmike1753 жыл бұрын
@@OomyZoomy I beg to differ. There's nothing like pulling up to a line that has the limb bouncing up and down. It's not much different than rod fishing except you are allowing a tree limb be your pole. My 2 biggest catfish came off of set hooks. One was 58 and the other was 64. When you pulling that thing up there's nothing like it especially if you know it's huge.

@kenrakestraw8754 жыл бұрын
Y'all need to listen to what this ol boy is sayin!
@Killada3pt4 жыл бұрын
Well the info is wrong, so I would recommend not listening. Outside bends are where the deeper holes are. The point sticking out(inside of bend) that the channel goes around is where the sediment gathered from the previous bend is deposited. This is common knowledge to and creek or river fisherman. The current hitting that outside bend is what scours the hole out.
