That part about the trash.. man i felt that. Large part of why i stay to my self most of the time. Not too many people care about the only planet we have. Just throw thier trash anywhere and call me "a hippie" for not wanting people to ruin this place we call home 🙃

I’m so sick of it, no respect and usually these people are trash themselves

Love your vibe, thank you! I wanna go do this. I feel the same negativity about trash and humans ruining nature. I like to take gloves and a bag with me to remove trash... That way I'm taking natural things from the ecosystem but I'm also removing some part of human waste too, it makes me feel more balanced in that way. Thank you again!

I don't know what I'd have done without your advice this weekend. I inherited my Pastel Python, Nagini, when my stepdaughter left the UK and promised to look after her, but the last few weeks she's been so stressed and not herself. After replacing the crappy heat pad with a proper UV lamp (with chicken wire guard!) and switching to cyprus bark, she's so much happier already. I confess I burnt the first saucepan of leaves but seriously you've given me a whole new passion for this. I'd really like to thank you somehow, my only skill is building amazing high-end websites but if you ever want one then please hit me up, it would be a gift of my appreciation and a genuine pleasure x

I was planning on boiling some wood for my corn snake for about 2 hours and then letting it dry. I bet that will likely kill anything on it or in it. And of course I’ll be monitoring my snake very closely to make sure everything‘s all right. But this was a good and helpful video!

I saw someone else mentioned boiling leaves remove nutrients. So I will use heating method
@RedsFaunaverse
@RedsFaunaverse 6 ай бұрын
Depends on what you need the leaves for. Some people will boil certain leaves to make tannin water for aquariums. If you’re just making leaf litter for a reptile habitat, the reptile itself doesn’t benefit from nutrients in leaf litter but isopods might.

Amazing video, definitely every reptile keeper should know these. What do you think about varnishing the sticks to prevent mold?
@RedsFaunaverse
@RedsFaunaverse 3 жыл бұрын
Thankyou! I’ve never done it myself but I think it’s a great idea! 💡 i would suggest to rinse the stick after the varnish dries to make sure no chemically stuff is left over but seems like it would t be a problem 😊

What should I do if the stick does not fit inside the oven, I can cut it either cause it’s for my panther chameleons enclosure

I want to keep the good bugs and good bacteria in patch of grass that I dug out but I don't want mites on snake is there a way to sterilize it without killing it
@RedsFaunaverse
@RedsFaunaverse Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately there is not, you’d have to sterilize it and add back the good micro fauna such as isopods and springtails that you can buy from breeders.

Dang.. ide been telling myself that ide never selectively choose what videos i watch solely by if i thought the person was pretty or attractive but i just caught myself doing exactly that and instantly clicked on your video,(not any of the ones that acually what im looking up, my pet is acually your pets food) after seeing your face pop up on my results while looking up "how to clean disinfect moss for indoor habitat..." so idk you just proved to me that itd take removing my natural instincts to not select videos based on someones appearance. Idk why im even commenting this.. idk anyone else do this too and be disappointed in yourself for doing it. Seeking validation perhaps idk

Love this! I wanna collect some moss, but cant propagate it cuz i dont have any grow lights either. My house gecko is wild caught, so do u think it’s ok to just put stuff in without sanitizing it?
@RedsFaunaverse
@RedsFaunaverse 2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t recommend it because the different pathogens and such it is exposed to in its natural habitat are not the same that are found here in our environments. Therefore it has not built up any immunity to them which puts them at a greater risk.
