Hello! Yes it was a challenge... but starting the business itself over wasnt that hard since I knew the industry already. Which is what's cool about being a business owner. The first time we do anything is the hardest... then it always gets easier. And no I did not keep it open just because at the time I left I was doing luxury residential and my clients were paying for me and my time. But now that we only do commercial cleaning... if I moved again I would def consider keeping it open. All depends on your staff and client base. But so many directions you can go in this industry which is why I love it so much!

This is like my third video in a row of me watching your content. Thank you so much for taking time to put this information out there. But the question I'm always left with when you give the scenarios and equations in the beginning. Like you said if you had kid clients they were paying you $200 a week you would have a six-figure business. But my question I'm always left with is. What specific services do I offer that client for $200. That way I can know how to pitch it. I am a very experienced salesman. I also do handyman work at mobile auto mechanics. So this is useful information to me. Like what specific services do I offer them for the $2,000. That's the only thing standing between me and action. Because at this point I know I can do this. I just need to know what each service should cost. That way I know how to put together my quote.thx again. 😊
@TheProfessionalCleaner3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! :-) In cleaning it's all about time = money... so I don't ever pitch services. I simply ask what their needs are, and then build a custom quote for them. This is what enables us to build trust with clients and become a problem solver... which is what business is all about. :-) As for how long things take in cleaning... that really comes down to experience. Practice makes perfect!

Who are the highest cleaning clients in the comercial side?
@TheProfessionalCleaner Жыл бұрын
Great question... but there really is no concrete answer... bc you can find clients in a variety of industries who will value quality... and THOSE are the clients you want. The ones who value quality will be willing to pay more. In my experience though here are some ideas... local government (city, county) buildings, DR offices, law offices. :-)

Google is not that good when the budget is modest and Yelp working politic is discussing even thou they are good for starters in terms of lower budget.

Paid ads are def not my preference in this biz, but I am currently testing new methods and will make a new video about it! But this is why getting in front of people has always been way more profitable... and I don't see that changing anytime soon. :-)

Hi Bethany 🙋♂️ Whatever you tell us is great, 🙏 but unfortunately it doesn't work in the UK and Ireland. without flyers, social media pages, web pages, paid advertising, etc. you won't be able to find any clients here or you must be a woman to start working as a self-employed cleaner and expand your client base. especially in Ireland no one allows you to clean if you are a man, even if you are a professional... and one more thing: for everything that they pay you 250 dollars, here you will hardly get 60-80 euros
@TheProfessionalCleaner8 ай бұрын
Thanks for your support! I don't have knowledge of the man vs woman topic over there... that's sad though. And discriminatory. :-( And although we are in the US and we've never had a cleaning business in the UK... the same basic truth applies everywhere. There are always 2 types of clients, value driven and price driven. So please don't assume that everyone is 'only willing to pay' a certain amount. Trust me... there are ALWAYS people willing to pay more for quality. It's just a matter of finding them. :-) There are LOTS of biz owners here in the US who say the same. So dont give up!

I do have a Social Media and a Website, how can I use those two to it’s full potential?
@TheProfessionalCleaner Жыл бұрын
Make sure they are polished looking, and keep your website simple. Especially when it comes to booking. I don't recommend bidding calculators, so it would be better for them to just have a simple way to contact you. Remove as much 'friction' as you can for the customer. ;-)

When you apply your business on yelp and they call you . And they ask do you want pay fee for leads how do you know if it's a scammer or not?
@TheProfessionalCleaner Жыл бұрын
@@biggabe5669 Oh got you! I would always do a reverse lookup of the phone number they are calling from and see what Google says. But if you want to run paid ads and have questions for Yelp, I would always recommend you initiate those phone calls to them using the support numbers listed, or contact them through their support site... instead of taking calls from numbers you don't know. 🙂

@@biggabe5669if you want to pay for leads that are legit, you might want to try Angie cleaning or Craft Jack. For a small fee they give you some good leads. Good luck to you!
